We are so incredibly grateful that you walked through our doors with your beautiful company, Luna Mariposa. I hope you truly know how much magic you bring into our space, but even more than that, how much you mean to us.

You are so loved, and I genuinely wish we got to spend more time together. Your energy, your heart, and the beautiful soul that you are have become such a cherished part of our sanctuary family.

We hope this next trip around the sun brings you every bit of the magic, love, abundance, and happiness that you so freely share with everyone around you. May the Universe surprise you in the most beautiful ways and remind you over and over just how loved and appreciated you are.

Sunday Morning Thoughts 💭 … on a Sunday Night.

I’ve been home sick all day today. Most of my day has been spent sleeping, resting, and allowing my body to do what it needs to do.

There was a time in my life when I wouldn’t have honored that. I would have pushed and pushed until my body gave me absolutely no other choice but to stop.

Yesterday, Chelsie and Beth took care of everything so I could still be at the sanctuary but take it easy. Today, my body made it pretty clear that staying home was what I needed.

My body is a funny thing sometimes. And I’m still learning just how deeply it remembers things that my mind knows I’ve moved beyond.

I had fallen asleep on the couch, and Jim and Sis had gone for a ride together. When I woke up, I realized I was home alone.

And instantly, I went into a panic attack.

Ever since I was so incredibly sick with my cancer, this happens sometimes when I get sick and my body starts shutting down. It’s almost like my nervous system remembers those moments when I had absolutely no control over what was happening to my body.

Those moments when being sick meant something so much bigger than just being sick.

I know I’m not in that place anymore. I know how far I’ve come. But sometimes my body reacts before my mind has a chance to remind it that we’re safe.

And today was one of those moments.

But THEN…

I looked out my front window from where I was lying on the couch.

And this is what I saw.

Of course, I had to get up and go outside to take it all in.

And just like that, the panic was gone.

As quickly as it had come, it disappeared.

I stood there looking at this beautiful rainbow, and I couldn’t help but feel like Spirit was reminding me that everything is okay.

Breathe. Trust. You are safe.

I have a cold. That’s it.

I am not back in those darkest days of my cancer journey. I am not fighting to get through every single day like I once was. I am not that sick woman who was terrified of what her body was going to do next.

I’m here. I’m healing. I’m living a life I once wasn’t sure I would get to live.

And sometimes I think we forget that even when we’ve come so far, our bodies can still carry the memories of where we’ve been.

Healing doesn’t mean those memories never show up again. Sometimes it means recognizing them, giving ourselves grace, and reminding ourselves that we’re not living in that moment anymore.

Today I needed rest. I needed to listen to my body. And apparently, I needed a rainbow.

I’m ending this Sunday feeling grateful. Grateful for the people who step in when I need to step back. Grateful for how far my body has carried me. And grateful for those little reminders from the Universe that seem to show up exactly when I need them.

Sometimes the most important thing we can do for ourselves is stop pushing, breathe, and trust that we’re okay.

And tonight, I am.
