Fall always gets me thinking about what I want to carry forward—and what I’m ready to let go of. 🍂

My birthday is in about two weeks, and I’ve been thinking about how I want to celebrate.

I hear people say, “I don’t really care about my birthday.” And while we all get to choose, I wonder if sometimes we’re missing an opportunity to practice receiving, to make a new memory, or to change a pattern we’ve inherited around joy.

What did celebration look like growing up? What made it feel special? What do we keep repeating, even when it doesn’t feel good anymore?

There’s so much anticipation around birthdays and the holidays. We picture how it’s going to go, tell ourselves we’ll make different choices this year… and then find ourselves doing what’s familiar.

I know I can’t count on being perfectly intentional in the middle of it all. I need to create the environment that makes it easier to choose what matters to me. The people, the pace, the way I want to feel when I wake up the next morning.

This was the last birthday I got to celebrate with my grandmother. It’s a memory I’ll always cherish. Looking at it now reminds me how much the simple things matter: being together, feeling loved, having time.

So this year, I’m being specific about how I celebrate. Making room for joy, connection, movement, and a little autumn air.

We’re practicing habits in how we celebrate, too.

What’s one tradition you want to carry forward—and one you’re ready to change? 🤍

Circa the last birthday I spent with my last Nana Jane Babinski 💜 thanks for all who came out that year to celebrate with this Vegan GF refined Sugar free & oil free cake ( ) by where health is wealth🌿

There’s joy in coming home, and a little melancholy too. Not every memory is easy. Tonight, looking up at the moon, I’m sitting with all of it—the love, the ache, the gratitude.

I was reminded by a friend that ease of joy and love that comes from being present at a wedding. Feeling the intentionality of each attendee. Grateful to the love that was shared throughout the weekend!

With childhood friends, Swim coaches from high school, my sister and nephew, and of course the newlyweds!
Learning to accept where I come from and how to care for the people I love.

God bless those who came before us, and the next generation finding their way. 🤍

Something keeps coming up in my coaching calls lately.

“I don’t have enough time.”
“I’m craving so much sugar.”
“I don’t understand why I can’t follow through.”

And I find myself bringing people back to something very simple: Let’s take care of our MATTER—our physical bodies.

Yes, understanding your cortisol rhythm, stress response, and how your nervous system prioritizes what’s urgent is incredibly valuable. Our patterns aren’t necessarily random.

But we don’t always need to turn everything into a deep psychological investigation.

Sometimes we need more sleep. A properly nourishing meal. Adequate protein, vitamins, and minerals. A little sunlight. Strength training or movement appropriate for where our body is today.

Nutrient deficiencies can contribute to fatigue and changes in how we feel, although they aren’t necessarily the reason we’re craving sugar.

Sometimes the most powerful place to begin is with our physiology.

Before asking “What’s wrong with my motivation?” perhaps ask:

“Have I given my body what it needs to function well today?”

We can make this work so complicated that we overlook the foundations.

And that’s a big part of my coaching philosophy: take care of the matter, create the conditions, and then explore what else needs attention.

🌿 You are all invited…

Twice a year, I guide my community through what many people call a detox, although my approach is quite different.

I’ve just returned from supporting a Vision Quest, where I was reminded of the importance of preparing the body, nourishing ourselves, and allowing time for integration. We don’t just go through an experience and expect transformation. We have to create the conditions for it.

I’m opening an invitation to join our next 14-day guided nourishment reset!

This is NOT a juice cleanse or deprivation diet. We’ll spend 10 days focusing on real food, digestion, metabolic health, and our daily rhythms, followed by four days of integration.

But what interests me most is our relationship with food.

Why do we eat differently around certain people? Why do our kids’ snacks become our snacks? Why do we negotiate with ourselves about things we already know don’t make us feel good?

These are the patterns we get curious about.

And this is why I believe information isn’t enough. We need opportunities to embody what we’re learning, with support and accountability.

I’m especially excited about the coaching structure this time:

🌱 October 13: Preparation + orientation Zoom, so you understand the approach and have time to prepare.

🌱 October 19: We begin!

🌱 Days 4, 7, 9 + 11: Live group check-ins, strategically timed to work through questions, resistance, discoveries, and the practical realities of changing habits.

🌱 November 1: We complete our integration.

I’ve seen people experience remarkable changes through these resets, including improvements in their eating habits and, for some, weight loss. But the bigger goal is to leave with a better understanding of your body and how to nourish it beyond these two weeks.

This is grounded in my DIEP philosophy: Develop • Integrate • Embody • Play.

Not another list of rules. A chance to practice something different, together.

If you’re looking for a more intelligent, supported approach to resetting your habits and nourishing your body, I’d love to have you join us.

Message me NOURISH if you’d like the details! 🌿

I welcomed the New Year here, on a retreat I hosted in India.

Hatha and Ashtanga yoga. Meditation. Ecstatic dance. Ayurvedic meals. Walks and swims in the ocean.

Next March, we gather in Nepal under the full moon—to practice meditation, dance, walk in nature, and learn both Hindu and Buddhist philosophy within their communities.

We’ll visit along the Bagmati River at Pashupatinath and learn about the Hindu rites practiced there, visit the ancient city of Bhaktapur, practice sunrise yoga in Pohkara, meditate in sacred Monestary sites, and trek the foothills of the Himalayan mountains… and more surprises along the way.

“I’ve never lost 7 pounds in three weeks.”

That’s my client’s voice you’re reading. Her experience, her progress—and everyone’s timeline is different.

This is what my virtual coaching looks like. We meet, we talk through real issues, and I’m there for support between our calls. Your food, your movement, your sleep, the things you’re struggling with. It all belongs in the conversation.

I’ve been running this platform for almost three years, helping women lose weight and, more importantly, understand how to care for their bodies.

There’s no magic pill here. So many of us were never taught these things, and now we have more information and more questions than ever.

My job is to coach you and listen. I want to understand how YOU want your life to improve. It’s not up to me to decide what your body or your life should look like.

But if you’re uncomfortable, covering up, or quietly struggling and telling yourself you should be able to figure it out alone—you’re allowed to want support. There’s no shame in where you are.

Sometimes getting a little vulnerable starts with saying, “I want something to change, and I need help.”

You can message me. We’ll start with a conversation. 🤍

One of my clients noticed that her blood sugar went up after a high-intensity Pilates class. Seeing it in real time helped her understand what her body was doing—and gave us better information to work with.

This is a little insight into how I work with women. We don’t need more devices or more numbers controlling our lives. Sometimes we use data for a short period of time to notice a pattern, learn from it and then return to trusting the body.

It’s also one reason I prefer real food over juices and post-workout smoothies. Real food gives the body more to work with—and, in my opinion, it’s simply more sustainable.

Labor Day weekend has me thinking about our relationship with effort.

Sometimes we over-challenge ourselves—another extreme workout, stricter plan, harder reset—because intensity feels productive.

Sometimes we under-challenge ourselves and call it “listening to our body,” when we may actually be avoiding the discomfort of beginning.

Both can keep us from doing the actual thing.

The walk.
The honest conversation.
The meal that supports us.
The rest we truly need.
The workout that challenges us without punishing us.

I don’t believe habits are inherently “good” or “bad.” There is simply habit: a behavior repeated often enough that the body begins to expect it.

The more useful question is:

Is this habit helping me meet my life—or helping me avoid it?

Real growth doesn’t always require another manufactured extreme. Sometimes it’s choosing the appropriate challenge, staying present through the discomfort, and allowing that experience to expand what your nervous system knows you can handle.

This weekend, notice where you may be over-challenging, under-challenging, or avoiding the real challenge altogether.

What is one honest thing your body—or your life—is asking you to meet?
