September 26, 2024 our friends and families in western North Carolina were struck with a tremendous, to say the least, storm... Hurricane Helene. Prayers, Support, and Love rained in by others from all over on the communities that were affected. On the forefront, individuals were facing choices that many of us have never looked in the eye. Individuals working through their own turmoil came together, assisting one another, holding each other up, and providing support while things began to unfold. There's a plethora of YouTube videos, podcasts, and blogs discussing how neighbors needed neighbors, people that had never spoke to one another became friends, and life long bonds were formed.

In those first hand accounts of the days and weeks that followed, you can hear people say "calling 911 was useless", "911 was static on the line", "if you had cell service and could get someone on the phone, who knows if they could get to you". Those are chilling words to hear, even more dreadful if you had to live it.

While we can't help you prepare for everything, we can train you in the skills of CPR and First Aid. The skills YOU may need one day. The skills YOUR NEIGHBOR may be counting on YOU to deliver.

Would you know what to do during a cardiac emergency?
If someone suddenly collapses, is unresponsive, and is not breathing normally:
❤️ Call 911
❤️ Begin CPR
❤️ Send someone to retrieve an AED
❤️ Turn on the AED and follow its spoken instructions
AEDs are designed for anyone to use. The device guides you through each step and will deliver a shock only when one is needed.
You do not have to be a healthcare professional to help save a life—you just need the knowledge and confidence to take action.
