Finally finished, although I know deep inside of me, I would spend extra month on it. I probably need a break, at least for couple of days - and then I approach another one. Still in Asian theme. I already saddled new canvas, and this time, dear gods, smaller one.
I seem to stuck in ‘ theoretically not ill - but not full healthy either ‘ continuously runny nose & irritated throat doesn’t help in painting.
Well, survival mode it is until spring..
- take care there and keep warm!

I’m off today and finally I’m recovered from this weird illness ( I was suggested it’s not cold or flu, it might be rather one of million shades of Covid )
I still didn’t find moment to go for mirror shopping haul and make my little Halloween marketplace with engraved goodies. Maybe I do it tomorrow, and engrave some for sale. I’m not sure if you guys would be interested in small Halloweeney canvases with acrylic pumpkin art. Well, let me know. I’m surprised I managed to sell so much, and actually speechless there’s real interest in me. I got so many messages for my samurai canvas which is not even finished yet - it’s incredible. I’m not having imposter syndrome, I’m myself embodied imposter syndrome. I guess it’s here to stay, but I will do my best to bring more stuff you might like.
I promise to be always awkward about it.

So far this is my favorite stencil, haha
Long session, proper laughter, chat and best dog portrait! Thank you so much for choosing me, I enjoy pet portraits so much I feel most rewarded!
My eyes are so tried, I need to feed them some movies now 🤙🏻
Tomorrow another full day and more colour..
I don’t chose best life, best life chose me.

I need to apologise to .aliosa
I took one of canvases he sketched on during our last guest spot at and it had initially Hanya mask on it. I was super dissapointed he didn’t had time to actually paint it - as guest spot went quite fruitful leaving us with no time for painting or even sightseeing which was our usual little tradition.
I picked brushes up again and started refreshing my old dusty skills, not honed since 2025. I eventually found sabin’s Hanya sketch and re-designed my own. I still hope we gonna manage to collab paint one day. Looks like my 2025 curse of ruining every media I try - is now lifted..
The relief…

My Hanya looks as above. Of course I could spend more time on it, but I started overdoing it, losing dimensions and muting colours down unnecessarily- hence, this is what I call ‘ safety finale ‘

I shall brace now for that huge one which stands ‘ sandpapered’ and ready for my new muse..

I didn’t even manage to give this one name
And it got sold 🖤
I’m posting it for portfolio purposes and keeping track of my personal painting journey.
New canvases will be prepped a bit differently and work itself changed. I’m excited for all the new tricks. And a bit nervous for mistakes..

My oil painting tutor, back in time had ‘ sponge of shame ‘ which had been used to smudge fresh paint on our canvases when we did something wrong ( no matter wether it was colour or technique, or application ) it was not to help, it was to punish and make us fix it.
- sounds a bit harsh?
I found through whole 2025 - I needed my own sponge of shame..
There’s still so much to learn, and I’m hungry for it, yet, so intimidated ..

Selling my first canvas made me feel like elephant took one of its feet off my chest..
