It's that time once again when, each , we introduce you to the people who will lead conversations and drive changes in healthcare. There is so much talent, drive, and potential wrapped up in this year's cohort of Eichler Fellows that it's barely contained. In just a few months, these folks will graduate and be unleashed in the world to do their things, and it will be good!

To kick things off, we are please to introduce Emily Allison, a Dartmouth '27 studying anthropology and human-centered design alongside the pre-medical track. Her goals are to become a leader of change within the healthcare system as it relates to addressing healthcare inequities.

This week, the 2026-27 Cohort of the Eric Eichler '57 Fellowship for Healthcare Leaders came together for the first time at the day-long fellowship retreat. We have a fantastic group of future healthcare leaders, and history is being made right here, right now. Congratulations to all of these members of the Dartmouth College Class of 2027 who were selected for the Eichler Fellowship.

Diane Chen recently completed her Eichler Fellowship for Healthcare Leaders. For her culminating project, she wrote a poem, Listen to Life, featured here. One thread that runs through all Dartmouth Healthcare Foundations programming is learning to be present, bear witness, and to listen. It seems Diane learned that lesson well. Congratulations on completing your Fellowship year. We look forward to seeing what you bring with you throughout your career and life.

Gretchen Carpenter joined the Dartmouth Healthcare Foundations Society in 2022 as an Eichler Fellow and has been going strong ever since. She completed her engineering degree at Thayer, where she focused on medical physics, and is now enrolled at the Geisel School of Medicine. Geisel just announced that Gretchen is one of two students there who participated in AAMC RISE program. Congratulations, Gretchen!
