Pleasant View Inc. Our Vision is that All people will have the opportunity to live in and enrich their communities. Pleasant View, Inc. Now, Pleasant View, Inc.

grew out of a concern many families in the Virginia Mennonite Conference had in the late 1960's; what would happen to their family member with an intellectual disability if they were no longer able to care for him or her. The doors to our first home, now known as Turner House, opened in March 1971. has grown from a six-person group home to a multidimensional agency with a variety of day and residential services and supports. Although many came from all areas of Virginia and beyond, the majority are from the Harrisonburg/Rockingham community. Many religious backgrounds are represented including Mennonite, Brethren, Presbyterian, Jewish, Catholic, and United Church of Christ. If you would like more information about Pleasant View, Inc and the services we provide, please check out our website (www.pleasantviewinc.org) or contact our Director of Operations at 540-433-8960.

Pleasant View's Fall Banquet is made possible by people and organizations who believe relationships matter and everyone has something to contribute.

We are pleased to recognize our Table Sponsors, whose support helps bring our community together for Building Belonging Together.

Thank you to LD&B, F&M Bank, , Cornerstone Concrete Foundations, Marshall & Julie Yoder, and Pam Miller & John Malone for being part of this year's celebration and for supporting Pleasant View's mission.

When businesses and community members invest in relationships and opportunities for people with disabilities, the whole community benefits.

Stronger communities are built together. We are grateful to the partners who help make this possible!

Last week we were preparing to celebrate the Knights of Columbus. See the Thank You poster on the table?

April and Lori made Marshall laugh so much, which made them laugh even more. Does that happen to you? Sometimes laughter is contagious. It is a joy to be part of a loving community with a great sense of humor.

April and Marlene made delicious chocolate chip cookies for tonight's dinner at Virginia Mennonite Relief Sale
As an official taster, I confirm they were very tasty --Pam Miller, Development Director

Tom and Marlene made two apple crumb pies to donate to the Virginia Mennonite Relief Sale and delivered them today with April. Tom even met someone volunteering with the pie sales who likes Barney Fife as much as he does. Giving back to the community feels good.
