People pleasing often starts as a way to stay connected or safe, not because something is wrong with you. Unlearning it can feel uncomfortable, but it's part of coming back to yourself.

Save this for when choosing yourself feels hard 🤍

The clocks go back on Sunday, November 1, and suddenly it feels like the day is over before you've had a chance to catch your breath. It's darker earlier, your energy seems to dip by late afternoon, and you might notice yourself feeling more irritable, unmotivated, or anxious—even when nothing els...

Healing from trauma-related people pleasing isn't about becoming cold, selfish, or uncaring.

it's about learning that your needs matter too.

it's about discovering that healthy relationships can tolerate boundaries, honesty, and disagreement.

it's about building the kind of self-trust that allows you to show up authentically rather than automatically adapting to keep everyone else comfortable.

the goal isn't to stop being kind.
the goal is to stop abandoning yourself in the process.

Sometimes the advice we hear about healing, boundaries, and relationships misses the bigger picture. 💛

Your patterns developed for a reason, and you don't have to shame yourself into changing them. You deserve space to understand yourself, build self-trust, and find a way forward that feels right for you.

**Agree? Disagree? Have a different perspective?** I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Save this for a reminder, and follow along for more honest conversations about trauma, anxiety, relationships, and healing.

sometimes your body is on high alert before you even realize anything is wrong.

you notice the shift in someone's tone. you scan the room to see how everyone is feeling. you hold your breath when someone seems irritated. you feel responsible for fixing the tension even when it has nothing to do with you.

and when things are finally quiet? relaxing still doesn't come easy.

if this feels familiar, you're not being dramatic or too sensitive. sometimes staying alert and paying attention to everyone else's moods becomes a way of trying to feel safe.

but you deserve to experience moments when you don't have to monitor everyone around you. you're allowed to rest without making sure everyone else is okay first.

healing can include learning that you don't have to anticipate every problem to feel safe.
