We're expanding right here in Harrisville to create a small campus dedicated to behavioral healthcare. More space means more room to grow, so we can see more clients from our community and keep offering the calm, welcoming setting you've come to expect from us.

Calm spaces. Exceptional care. That's been our promise from day one, and this next chapter lets us keep it for even more families in Ritchie County and beyond.

💛 October is ADHD Awareness Month and Dyslexia Awareness Month!

At CanaryCare, we believe understanding is an important step toward helping everyone feel supported.

Did you know?

🧠 ADHD: 11.7% of U.S. children ages 3–17 have a current ADHD diagnosis, according to CDC data from a 2024 parent survey.

📖 Dyslexia: The Yale Center for Dyslexia & Creativity estimates that dyslexia affects 1 in 5 people.

🤝 The overlap: The International Dyslexia Association estimates that about 30% of people with dyslexia also have ADHD.

ADHD and dyslexia are distinct conditions, but they can occur together. Each person’s experiences and support needs are unique, and neither condition defines their intelligence or potential.

💛 What feels rewarding in the moment, and what helps you feel well over time?

Dopamine plays a role in motivation and reward. It isn’t “good” or “bad,” but the habits we repeat can affect our well-being.

Try making room for everyday rewards:
🌿 Take a walk.
🎶 Enjoy music or a creative hobby.
🤝 Connect with someone you care about.
✅ Work toward one small, meaningful goal.

Scrolling, shopping, or gambling can become harmful when they feel difficult to control or interfere with sleep, finances, relationships, or responsibilities.

Ask yourself: “How does this habit leave me feeling afterward?”

Start with one small change, and remember, struggling with a habit is a reason to seek support, not shame.
