I didn’t take any pictures of this weekend, intentionally. (More to be said on that later). And I still want to share!
This weekend I launched a container/class that is near and dear to my heart. Dreaming the Dragon. A space where women (and men when we offer coed rounds in the future) can come together and learn the practices and teachings of the Medicine Wheel, and how to apply this ancient wisdom to our everyday human lives.
One of my favorite teachings is the belief that “it is important for Spiritual practices to grow corn”. Every religion I can think of nods to this. The importance of feeding people. Physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually. All aspects of our being are sacred and require nourishment and tending to, to thrive. Like a garden, the Garden of Life gives us all compost and it is our responsibility to work that compost into our garden so that we can grow good things to eat and beautiful trees and flowers to inspire and admire.
If it doesn’t feed you, if it doesn’t help you get results or find peace, or encourage you to reach for your hearts dream, then why do it?
(Maybe it’s all we know, maybe generational trauma, maybe subconscious programming, societal expectations, fear, shame, self-judgement, the possibilities are endless. We explore what it may be and learn how to clear it and make space for a new way of being in this container)!
The OG Shamans understood that taking care of our physical temples; coming into balance with our physical needs, is one of the pillars of maintaining spiritual and holistic health and wellbeing. Listening to Nature, performing ceremonies and gleaning data from the Spirit Realm was done to improve the lives of people around them. Physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually.
I carry the heart of this teaching forward 🙏🏻 with so much gratitude to those who came before me, those who stand beside me, and those who courageously choose to answer their souls calling and step onto this path 🫶🏻🐉✨
Also, BIG Gratitude to Dance Center for hosting us and sharing their space with us 🩵🫶🏻🩵 already looking forward to our next weekend together!
