💡 Today, we are busting two of the most common medication myths we hear at the pharmacy counter.

⭕ Myth #1: "Generic medications are weaker than brand-name medications."

💡The Fact: This is completely false! The FDA strictly requires all generic drugs to have the exact same active ingredients, strength, safety, performance, and effectiveness as their brand-name counterparts.

They work in your body in the exact same way and in the exact same amount of time. The only real difference? Generics are usually much more affordable. You get the exact same health benefits without the premium price tag! 💊

⭕ Myth #2: "Antibiotics can cure any infection."

💡 The Fact: This is a dangerous misunderstanding. Antibiotics are powerful tools, but they only treat bacterial infections (like strep throat or urinary tract infections).

They do absolutely nothing to cure viral infections, such as the common cold, the flu, or other viral conditions.

Additionally, some chronic infections or slow-healing wounds can be caused by underlying conditions, like diabetes, which require a completely different, specialized treatment plan.

Taking antibiotics when they aren't needed can actually lead to harmful side effects and antibiotic resistance.
