Sunday reminder: Rest is productive too! 💜🍂

Before another busy week begins, take a moment to slow down, recharge, and enjoy the little things. Whether it’s spending time with loved ones, enjoying a cozy morning, or simply doing absolutely nothing, remember that rest is just as important as all the hard work you put in throughout the week.

At Max Care ABA, we know how much love, patience, and energy goes into supporting others. To our parents, caregivers, therapists, and educators—don’t forget to show yourself that same care. 🧡

You can’t pour from an empty cup, so give yourself permission to rest today.

Wishing everyone a cozy, restful Sunday and a wonderful week ahead! 🍁

🍂☕ Happy Saturday from Max Care ABA! 🤎

Fall is the perfect reminder to slow down and appreciate the little things. Whether you’re spending time with family, enjoying your favorite cozy drink, or taking a moment to recharge, remember that rest and happiness are important, too! 🧡

Wishing all of our amazing families a weekend filled with warmth, laughter, and little moments of joy! 🍁✨

🍂🎃 Halloween should be fun, inclusive, and comfortable for EVERY child! 🧡

At Max Care ABA, we believe that Halloween doesn’t have to look the same for everyone, and that’s perfectly okay!

For some children, Halloween can bring sensory challenges, unexpected changes in routines, and overwhelming social expectations. With a little preparation and flexibility, we can help make the holiday a positive experience for everyone! 🍁

Here are a few friendly reminders this spooky season:

🍬 Communication looks different for everyone! Whether your child uses words, gestures, sign language, or AAC, all forms of communication deserve to be celebrated.

🎃 It’s okay to say no! Children should feel comfortable expressing their boundaries.

🍂 Preparation makes a difference! Visual schedules, social stories, and practicing trick-or-treating can help children know what to expect.

🧡 Sensory needs matter! Bring headphones, comfort items, or fidgets to help make the experience more enjoyable.

👻 Costumes are optional! Pajamas, comfy clothes, or no costume at all are perfectly fine.

🍁 Go at your child’s pace! Whether it’s one house, the entire neighborhood, or a cozy night at home, there’s no wrong way to celebrate.

This Halloween, let’s focus less on expectations and more on creating meaningful, joyful experiences for every child. 🧡

Halloween is for everyone! 🎃👻

As we get ready for trick-or-treating, let’s remember that every child experiences Halloween differently. For some children, loud decorations, unfamiliar environments, communication challenges, and changes in routines can make the holiday a little overwhelming.

At Max Care ABA, we believe that small acts of kindness can make a big difference in creating a more inclusive community. 💜

Here are a few ways to make Halloween more welcoming:

🎃 Be patient and allow extra time for trick-or-treaters.

👻 Remember that not everyone communicates verbally. AAC devices, gestures, and simply holding out a candy bucket are all valid ways to communicate!

🍬 Don’t require children to say “trick or treat” or “thank you” to receive candy.

🧡 Be mindful of loud decorations, flashing lights, and unexpected scares.

💜 Remember that disabilities aren’t always visible, and trick-or-treaters of all ages deserve to participate.

No eye contact required. No spoken words required. No perfect costume required.

Just a welcoming doorstep, a little kindness, and a treat! 🍭

Let’s make this Halloween a little less spooky and a lot more inclusive for everyone!

Happy Halloween from Max Care ABA! 🎃💜

🎃👻 No tricks, just meaningful ABA!🧡🍂

At Max Care ABA, we believe quality therapy is about so much more than teaching new skills. It’s about building trust, respecting individuality, and helping every child thrive in an environment where they feel safe, supported, and understood. 💙

✨ Our 5 ABA Non-Negotiables:

🧡 Assent Always Matters– Every child’s voice, comfort, and willingness to participate deserve respect.

🎃 Autonomy > Compliance– We prioritize self-advocacy, independence, and meaningful choices over simply following directions.

🍁 Individualized Care – No two children are alike, and their treatment plans shouldn’t be either!

🤝 Connection First– Building trusting relationships is the foundation of meaningful learning.

💙 Parent Collaboration Is Key– Caregivers are essential members of the treatment team, and progress is stronger when we work together.

At Max Care ABA, these aren’t just spooky season reminders. They’re values we strive to practice every single day!🧙‍♀️✨

Because every child deserves therapy that celebrates who they are, not just what they can do. 🧡

October is AAC Awareness Month, and we’re celebrating the many ways people communicate. 🗣️✨
At Max Care ABA, we believe everyone deserves a voice — whether that voice is spoken, signed, selected on an AAC device, communicated through pictures, gestures, or another meaningful form of communication.
AAC isn’t “giving up” on speech. It’s giving someone access to communication. 💛 When we support functional communication, we help individuals express their wants, needs, feelings, choices, and ideas with greater independence.
💙 Communication is a right.
💛 All forms of communication are valid.
💙 Every voice deserves to be heard.

🎃 Things we’re squashing in ABA this week!
ABA is so much more than sitting at a table and running trials. Meaningful therapy should include functional communication, motivation, play, natural environment teaching, caregiver involvement, and skills that actually improve everyday life.
This week, we’re squashing:
✨ DTT-only sessions
✨ Forgetting to prioritize manding
✨ Focusing only on reducing behavior
✨ Ignoring motivation
✨ Skipping play and NET opportunities
✨ Leaving caregivers out of generalization
The goal isn’t just to teach skills during therapy — it’s to help those skills carry over into real life, real routines, and real relationships. 🧡
