For most viral infections, treatments can only help with symptoms while you wait for your immune system to fight off the virus. Antibiotics do not work for viral infections. There are antiviral medicines to treat some viral infections. Vaccines can help prevent individuals from getting many viral diseases. Antibiotics only treat infections caused by bacteria. They don't work on viruses. The good news is that viral infections usually aren't serious. For additional info, speak with your primary care physician.

It's been 1 year after my GSB surgery, & I've received a bill from PBS Anesthesia for $2400.00!!!! Anyone else receive a bill from them after surgery? If so, please DM.
my new journey starts on the 18th and I can't wait to see where and how it ends.
Hello I have a question...at pre op can we pay with debit card or is it only credit card or money order?
August is National Immunization Awareness Month and the staff at our hospitals want to share some of the important reasons that they choose to vaccinate. Now, more than ever, we need to raise awareness on how immunizations can protect yourself, your family, your co-workers and your community.

Marc washington is wonderful at what he does he puts the patient first. Last week I was ready to just give up but I didnt he gave me the motivation I was lacking. He is the man with the plan. All jokes aside I have been let down so much in my life and i have never met a man as caring and genuine as him he not only supported me medically but helped me emotionally because he is the first man that came into my life that wanted to see me succeed in life medically. I will forever and always be # Team marc washington
We love helping our patients overcome obstacles that life throws them. Gloria Dillard and Michael Munoz, bariatric patients for the Surgical Weight Control Center and Desert Springs Hospital, recently participated in a photoshoot for our new bariatric campaign, "ReShape Your Future." Looking good Gloria and Michael; we're so proud of you!
I started my weight loss adventure at 370 pounds. I lost 70 on my own while waiting for all the tests required by my insurance and my un-named Bariatric Surgeon #1, who gave me a surgery date, then retired without even telling me, so no surgery. I went to Dr. Leduc, weighing 300 pounds, and he did my Gastric Sleeve Surgery on July 6, 2020, resulting in zero pain, zero scars, zero hunger, and now on June 17, 2021, weighing 215! That's an 85 pound loss since surgery and a total of 155 pound loss since I started. My goal is to lose the remaining 15 pounds this summer. I donated all my 5XL, 4XL, 3XL and 2XL clothes and am wearing just XL presently. My wedding ring fell off (I'll get that resized!) and my shoes went from 13 double wide to 11 regular. I can not only see my feet now, I can actually bend over and reach them! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Leduc and the Surgical Weight Control Center!!!!!
I am three days post op after Dr. Atkinson did my surgery. I am feeling so good about this journey I am on. I broke out in a rash the first night I came home. I promptly called and the young lady got me to the OC Dr. Thankfully and by luck, it was Dr. Atkinson who was OC that evening. He talked me through what was going on with my body and told me how to help myself. Worked perfectly! It's nice and reassuring to know that you have these surgeons at your fingertips at all times! Feeling good today and excited for my upcoming journey!
Current weight loss journey update
170 pounds weigh-in 4/25/21 😱 Lost 110 pounds!!!
Please listen when you get your last pre op meeting to the dietician and the physicians assistant. If you do what they say you do immediately afterwards, the recovery is better. I am 11 days post op.
I had Gastric Sleeve 7/14/2020 suddenly had to move to Ohio I can not say enough great comments about this place and everyone who works here always kind and helpful
Mark Washington is amazing and he went above and beyond to explain my new vitamins and zoom to me
Thank You All for my new health and enjoying this journey....
Thank You, Dr. Soong & SWCC!!🧡 My TRUE lifesavers!!

Had my gastric sleeve done on 5-12 and already lost 17 lbs. I feel very good about my surgery and I can tell my results will help my health. Great experience, Dr. Leduc and staff are fantastic! Dr. Washington made me feel comfortable and confident post surgery. My reason for surgery is my medical history is very poor. 2015 open heart surgery 5 graph bypass, diabetes, heart disease and sleep apnea. After going through the process and being patient I know this was the best decision I have ever made.

Thank you Dr. Leduc for a perfect surgery!
