Feet are designed to move. To feel the surface.

Shoes are just “protectants” from punctures or heat.

Feet can have the same dexterity as hands. 🤔 Imagine if you kept your hands in oven mitts all day.

I’ve hardly given respect to my previous decades (sorry, me) but this 6th one…oh, I’m paying attention. 😉

Are you making the space for the important moments, the life within your life?

It’s a struggle sometimes to simply Be. To acknowledge that life is moving along. To make very intentional decisions that shift the ground beneath your feet and maybe throw you off kilter…but you know it’s good and you dig deep into your beliefs and journey on.

As I challenge myself with these questions, I lift them up to you as well…what’s it gonna be?

In the blink of an eye we went from a hunter/gatherer culture to our current “don’t need to leave my chair for almost anything” situation.

We are designed to moooove…in as many ways as possible, as often as possible, in as many different environments as possible.

If that’s not happening…we begin to rust into the position(s) we hold ourselves in majority of the time.

Hence the clamped hip flexors (🪑sit much?), forward neck (📵screens much?), elevated shoulders (🐅stress anyone?), bunions (👞 👠) that so many of us deal with.

However…we are resilient and cells turn over all day, every day…thankfully!

We can reclaim the movements we have lost due to disuse, overuse, abuse, misuse, confuse…

Start noticing…

What are you doing, not doing, avoiding before you feel whatever pain signals you get? Are you hydrating enough, sleeping enough, breathing enough, taking walks, getting outside? That’s a good start.

Your body might just be “your Tupperware” but it’s your only ride…💪🏼
