One year of food and drinks at the Mercantile—and next month, we celebrate two years since first opening our doors.
What started with herbal products, local goods, and a love for our community has grown into your morning coffee stop, lunch break, and a place to stay for a conversation.
One year of learning your orders, making your lunch, and watching a “quick stop” turn into coffee, groceries, and catching up.
When we added food and drinks, our little shop grew—and so did our roles. Alongside making herbal products, stocking shelves, and supporting local makers, we became part of your everyday routines.
We’ve learned a lot, adjusted a lot, and washed considerably more dishes than we probably imagined.
As a mother-and-daughter team, building this together has given us new ways to support our families and work alongside each other. It’s stretched us, challenged us, and reminded us how much heart goes into a small business.
But the friendships have been one of the sweetest parts. Customers whose orders we know by heart. Conversations we look forward to. People who started as strangers and now feel like friends.
Every lunch, drink, recommendation, and return visit helps support our families, our staff, and the local farms and makers who fill our shop. Those everyday choices mean more than you may realize.
