Happy Halloween!! Our kids and our team dressed up, and Mickey and Minnie stopped by to meet everyone. Swipe through the costumes: firefighters, princesses, a very fluffy chicken, and one proud avocado.

One stick in each hand. Tapping with both hands gives kids practice using both sides of the body.

At Peek A Boo PPEC, every child's day looks different, because every child has different needs.

Pediatric nursing, therapy, learning, play and meaningful activities all happen here. Our team works around each child's own routines to keep the center safe, caring and fun, so children can learn, grow and thrive.

It's more than care. It's a place where kids can be kids.

Children from birth through age 20 can attend with a prescription from their doctor. For eligible families, Medicaid or Florida KidCare may cover it.

What's a PPEC? The short answer: a place where your child gets nursing care and therapy, and still has time to play.

Pediatric nurses look after children with medical needs all day long. Therapists work with them on speech, movement and everyday skills without leaving the center. They also get time to play with friends.

PPEC stands for Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care. It starts with a prescription from your child's doctor, and for eligible families, Medicaid or Florida KidCare may cover it.

When a doctor prescribes PPEC and your child has Florida Medicaid, the program pays for the day: nursing, therapies, meals and transportation. Families don't receive a bill for our services.

The paperwork is real, and we do ALL of it with you. Bring your child's Medicaid card and the names of their doctors. We take it from there!

Getting started takes three steps.

Step one, call us. We ask about your child's medical conditions and what the day-to-day looks like with your child.

Step two, the prescription. Your child's doctor writes a prescription for PPEC, usually for 180 days. Medicaid or your plan then approves it, and we help with the paperwork.

Step three, the first day. We go over your child's care plan with you. Then your child meets the room.

Speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy all happen inside the center, on days your child is already here.

The therapist sees your child one to one in a room like this one. Then it's back to friends and lunch. No second address. No afternoon off work for a forty-minute session across town.
