We've all done it. So we don't have to make more than one trip we try to carry all of the groceries in from the car. Sometimes we make it, gasping for breath by the time we set down the 10 bags. Other times we drop a bag or one breaks and next thing you know we're cleaning up smashed eggs off the kitchen floor. This is a terrific metaphor for life as it turns out. Often times we try to carry too much. We try to carry things that aren't ours to carry. We carry things that we should have put down a long time ago. We're probably carrying some of those things right now. As in groceries, so in life, put some down, make a second or even third trip, have someone else help you carry some of it, lighten your physical, mental and emotional load. Your body, heart, mind, family and friends will thank you.
