Keeping our keiki safe, one car seat at a time!💙

This past weekend, our team came together for a 𝗞𝗲𝗶𝗸𝗶 𝗖𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 event to help families make sure their little ones are properly protected on the road.

Together, we checked 𝟭𝟴 𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘀:

🚙 15 convertible car seats
👶 1 infant car seat
💺 1 backless booster seat
🚗 1 combination booster seat

A properly installed car seat can make all the difference in protecting our keiki during every journey. Mahalo nui loa to our partners at Keiki Injury Prevention Coalition (KIPC) and the Hawaii Department of Transportation, as well as all the dedicated community and KP volunteers who gave their time and expertise to keep our keiki safe.

Celebrating love, inclusion, and the power of community!🏳️‍🌈

We're proud to be part of the 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗹𝘂 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 this past weekend! Mahalo to everyone from our HPMG and KP ‘ohana who showed up to celebrate, spread love, and support a community where everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and respected.

Our focus on LGBTQ+ health is a daily commitment. 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘁𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗻𝘆, 𝗣𝗔-𝗖, recently joined HI Now to spotlight the KP Care Pathway Center and its role in supporting LGBTQ+ health, helping patients access affirming care.

Our Mapunapuna admin team is wearing pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Together, we’re encouraging regular screenings and showing support for everyone impacted by breast cancer.

For more than a decade, HPMG has prioritized physician and clinician health and well-being – developing programs, refining our approach, and sharing what we learn.🌺

That commitment took the international stage in London, where hospitalist and Professional Chief of Staff Dr. Lynne Grieco and family medicine specialists Dr. Kimmie Ouchi and Dr. Cherie Raffelson represented HPMG at the 2026 International Conference on Physician Health.

Of the 46 posters presented, three came from HPMG – including the latest from our groundbreaking remote clinician inbox coverage team. These exchanges help us refine our work and contribute to a growing understanding of how to support physicians and clinicians throughout their careers.

Mahalo to Drs. Grieco, Ouchi, and Raffelson – and everyone who's helped build and sustain this work over the past decade. 💙

Mahalo to everyone who helped make the 2027 Kaiser Permanente Hawaii Cancer Screening and Prevention Fair a success!

55 volunteers – including 19 physicians and clinicians, 9 staff, 2 mammogram techs, 16 educational table volunteers, and 9 general volunteers – came together to support our community through screenings, education, and resources. In total, we provided:

🩺 78 head & neck cancer screenings
☀️ 90 skin cancer screenings
🎀 17 mammograms
💗 19 well-woman exams

Attendees could also learn more about breast, colorectal, and lung cancer screening, genetic counseling, advance health care directives, and more. We were also grateful to have the American Cancer Society join us!

A huge mahalo to every clinician, staff member, volunteer, and community partner who gave their time and energy to make the day possible. We appreciate every one of you!

The Kaiser Permanente Cancer Screening and Prevention Fair takes place every September. Look for us at Waipio Medical Office next year!🎗️

A night filled with good food, great company, and unlimited bon dancing ✨

HPMG was thrilled to join the 4th Annual Megabon at Leeward Community College!

Created by JCI Honolulu and Todaiji Hawaii Bekkaku Honzan, Megabon brings people together to celebrate and help rekindle the tradition of bon dancing in Hawai'i. The festival featured bon dance, taiko, festival games, local vendors, prizes, and more -- making for a fun-filled evening for the whole community!

Mahalo to everyone who participated in Megabon this year! We're honored to be part of an event that celebrates culture, connection, and the traditions that bring our community together.
