Meet Yachun Lin, our Drums AliveĀ® Instructor Spotlight! šŸ’›

When her senior fitness students discovered cardio drumming online, they asked her to bring it to their community. Their enthusiasm inspired her to become certified, and three years later, sheā€™s teaching five Golden Beats classes each week in the MetroWest area of Massachusetts.

But what keeps her coming back isnā€™t just the music or the movement. Itā€™s the people.

One participant told Yachun she laughs more in class than anywhere else. Another, living with advanced dementia, began tapping her fingers to the music after several weeksā€”a small movement that made for a meaningful moment.

From older adults with a wide range of abilities to young adults with special needs, Yachun brings creativity, care, and a sense of play to the people she serves.
