Athlete's Treasure Sport Psychology Services. Mental Skills and Biofeedback training to improve athletic performance.

Mental Training refers to the systematic and consistent practice of mental or psychological skills to enhance athletic performance, increase enjoyment, or to achieve greater sport and physical activity self-satisfaction. Biofeedback or biological feedback help athletes become aware of their physiological responses to challenging situations. Equipped with this knowledge, athletes can manage the responses to maximize performance.

Success in sports does not depend only on your sports skills, but also on access to resources to finance a career in sports. Sadly, participation and success in sports are still available mainly for athletes from middle and upper classes whose parents can sponsor their early participation or have access to corporate sponsorships.

The expectations of coaches and parents can influence their and the athlete’s behaviors, which will also influence athletic performance.

Judgments about an athlete’s competence can also lead to inaccurate expectations (too high or too low).

When external sources (coaches, parents, teammates) provide an inaccurate assessment of an athlete’s skills, those athletes can still focus on their past accomplishments and physical abilities as sources of information.

Do you need to calibrate your mind to be able to show all the hard work you have put into your sport? That is applied sport psychology or mental training. It is all about helping individuals show their best. It is a skill that can be developed, and most athletes underperform during competitions because they never learned.

🏆 Elite athletes don’t just train their bodies — they train their minds.
In 2006, members of the World Cup–winning team revealed that biofeedback was part of their mental preparation.
Later, top sport psychology and sport psychophysiology experts adapted the Mindroom to train Canada’s Olympic gold‑medal speed skaters.

My own methods are built on that Canadian evolution — powered by Thought Technology, the world leader in biofeedback systems.

And yes… I learned directly from the source.
Dr. Demichelis, the originator of the Mindroom, presented his protocol at the AAPB conference in Orlando — and of course I was there soaking up every detail.

Mental training isn’t optional. It’s the edge.

"Flow and "Peak Performances" are not the same!
Even though many people use the terms interchangeably, it is essential to understand the differences when choosing the best mental training interventions to help athletes perform at their best.
If you want to read more about this topic, go to my website and check the blog post "Separating Flow from Peak Performance and Peak Experience"

If you want to contribute to my science and receive a "free" mental training intervention, participate in my research
@ ActionSportPsych.com, you can find more information
I also want to let you know my research proposal was approved by the IRB (Institutional Review Board). It is a federal law that research with human subjects must be approved by the IRB.
If you decide to participate in this study, you can be sure that you will be safe. I am a true sport psychology professional and not a crazy social media influencer.

Often, when athletes show higher “levels of activation,” which are perceived by awkward behaviors such as talking too fast, checking the equipment too often, and being unable to keep still, the coach and teammates worry that “the nerves” will hurt the athletes’ performance. But it is not always the truth. Some athletes perform best when they are “over-aroused” or “over-activated.”
As someone trained in sport and performance psychology, I can identify what can “help” or “hurt” athletic performance and develop a mental training intervention tailored to the athlete’s needs.
