Ever wonder what your pelvic floor has to do with movement?

Whether you're practicing yoga, lifting, working out, or simply moving through your day, your **breath, core, pelvic floor, and movement are all connected.**

But how do you actually connect them? And how can you take that awareness into your future workouts and everyday movement?

That's what we'll explore together at my upcoming workshop:

STRONG FROM THE INSIDE OUT
Core • Breath • Pelvic Floor

We'll break down these connections and practice simple strategies you can take with you into your yoga practice, workouts, and everyday life.

🤱 **Breastfeeding Tips from a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist**

Happy World Breastfeeding Week! 💛 Whether you’re breastfeeding, pumping, combo feeding, or navigating a different feeding journey, your comfort and recovery matter too.

Breastfeeding can mean spending hours in the same position every day, which may contribute to **neck, shoulder, upper back, wrist, or pelvic discomfort**. A few simple adjustments can make a big difference:

✨ **Support your body:** Use pillows to bring baby toward you instead of leaning forward.

✨ **Relax your shoulders:** Check in with your jaw, neck, and shoulders and consciously let them soften.

✨ **Support your feet:** A footrest can help you find a comfortable, supported position.

✨ **Change positions:** Rotate between different breastfeeding or pumping positions when possible.

✨ **Breathe and relax your pelvic floor:** Avoid constantly “holding” tension while feeding. Slow, relaxed breathing can help your pelvic floor and core stay more comfortable.

✨ **Take movement breaks:** When baby is settled, gently move your neck, shoulders, wrists, and upper back.

✨ **Listen to your body:** Persistent pain, pelvic pressure, leaking, or discomfort during feeding isn’t something you simply have to push through. A **pelvic health physical therapist** can help identify contributing factors and provide individualized strategies.

💡 **Your baby’s comfort matters—but so does YOURS.**

Save this post for your next feeding session and share it with a new or expecting parent! 🤍

What began as an idea rooted in care and healing slowly took shape into walls, a community, and a vision bigger than I imagined.
This year asked me to wear many hats—clinician, learner, risk-taker, and first-time business owner. Some days felt grounding, others uncomfortable, and many deeply humbling.

I stepped out of the treatment room I knew so well and into the unfamiliar world of building something from scratch—while staying true to why I became a physical therapist in the first place: to help people live fully in their bodies.

As we welcome 2026, my hope is simple and powerful—
✨ to help more people move without fear
✨ to support healing that goes beyond symptoms
✨ to help you return to sport, strength, motherhood, work, and life
✨ and to walk alongside you as you chase your health and fitness dreams

Thank you to every patient, referral partner, friend, and supporter who believed in Kaya before it even existed.

Here’s to growth, grounding, and continuing this journey together 🤍
