Different views. Same Thanksgiving table.

This week on Living Well with Healthy Connections, we talk about something a lot of families can relate to: how to enjoy the holidays when the people around the table do not always see things the same way. Setting boundaries, changing the subject, and knowing when to take a break can help keep the focus on being together instead of winning an argument.

Men. Lock in. You’ve shown up for work, your family, and everyone else all year. But that appointment you meant to make? Still on the bench. Coach Reid is back this with a Movember mustache and a reminder to put your own health in the game plan. Movember brings attention to prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and su***de prevention. The mustache starts the conversation. Following through makes it count.

Playbook Men’s Health by Healthy Connections can help you take that next step. Make the appointment, bring your questions, and talk about what’s really going on. Call 888-710-8220 to schedule, and explore five ways to lock in your health: https://healthy-connections.org/horizons-health-blog/movember-mens-health/

Healthy Connections is helping shape the future of health care in Arkansas. CEO Tony Calandro is representing our organization on a new statewide advisory board formed by Heartland Whole Health Institute, founded by philanthropist Alice Walton. As one of just two Federally Qualified Health Center organizations represented, we are proud to bring our communities’ needs to the table alongside leaders from Arkansas Children’s, UAMS, the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine, and other prominent organizations.

This work has a clear purpose: strengthen physician training in Arkansas and create more opportunities for patients to receive care. With primary care and women’s health among our communities’ greatest needs, we thank Heartland for its leadership and are honored to contribute our experience.
