🌸 Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Honoring Frances Garnett 🌸
This month, we want to take a moment to honor a true miracle—Frances Garnett, a mother of five and a beautiful example of faith, strength, perseverance, and hope.
After losing her husband at age 73, Frances spent a year grieving and missed her annual checkups. When she finally returned for her mammogram at age 74, doctors found a lump and diagnosed her with breast cancer. Through multiple rounds of treatment and partial tissue removal, Frances fought courageously—and was eventually declared cancer free. 🎀
Frances went on to live a very, very long life after her breast cancer journey, surrounded by family and so much love. She passed away on Thanksgiving last year at the age of 99—but thankfully, it was not from breast cancer. 💗
When asked what advice she would give to others facing the same diagnosis, Frances shared:
“Pray and believe God will heal you, just like He healed me.”
Her story is a beautiful reminder to stay positive, keep hope, have faith, and never give up. Her breast cancer diagnosis was not the end of her story. She was given many, many more years to love, laugh, make memories, and enjoy her family. 💕
To anyone currently fighting breast cancer, we hope Frances’ journey reminds you that there can be so much life beyond a diagnosis. Keep believing, keep fighting, and never lose hope.
🎀 Early detection saves lives. Please schedule your recommended mammogram, pay attention to your health, and take care of yourself—not just this month, but every month.
From all of us at Webster Urgent Care, we honor every warrior, survivor, and family touched by breast cancer. And today, we especially honor Frances and the incredible life she lived. 💖
Stay positive. Have hope. Keep believing. 🌸
