Paxman Scalp Cooling The global leader in scalp cooling. We help cancer patients worldwide to retain their hair during chemotherapy

When Sue Paxman lost her hair while receiving chemotherapy for breast cancer, her family shared her distress. Sue's husband, Glenn Paxman founded Paxman on the back of this experience and to this day we remain a close family business. Knowing first-hand the effects that both cancer and its treatment can have on patients, friends and families, our business is much more than just a job. We aim to make a difference to people’s lives by raising awareness about scalp cooling and establishing it as a common practice for all patients undergoing treatment. As the leading global manufacturer and supplier of scalp cooling equipment, we work in partnership with medical professionals, research centres, cancer support groups, charities and patients to continually improve our technology. Investing in scientific testing and development has allowed us to attain outstanding technical precision and the highest levels of clinical efficacy. We strive to gain further knowledge and understanding of hair loss prevention for cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. We are committed to giving patients a degree of control during chemotherapy treatment. We have made it our responsibility to offer advice, support and access to scalp cooling for cancer patients no matter where they are based in the world. Having been through the same journey as many patients and their families, we are dedicated to empowering people by giving them the choice to keep their hair.

We're proud to support our friends at HairToStay as they celebrate their 10th anniversary with HairToStay Does The Bay 🫶

This annual event brings together patients, advocates, healthcare professionals and supporters for a walk along San Francisco's waterfront, all in support of improving access to scalp cooling.

Hair loss can be one of the most visible side effects of chemotherapy, yet access to scalp cooling remains out of reach for some patients. Through its subsidy programme, HairToStay helps make scalp cooling more accessible to those who need it.

If you're in the Bay Area and would like to support an incredible cause, consider joining HairToStay this weekend on 18 October.

Join Melissa, from our team, on the day who will be there ready to walk with you 🚶‍♀️‍➡️

Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🩷

It's a time to raise awareness, recognise those affected by breast cancer, and highlight the importance of support throughout treatment.

For many patients receiving chemotherapy, hair loss can be one of the most visible and emotionally challenging side effects of treatment. That's why we're committed to helping patients access scalp cooling as part of their chemotherapy journey.

Every day, we work alongside healthcare professionals around the world to help reduce the risk of chemotherapy-induced hair loss and support a better treatment experience for patients.

This month, we stand with the global breast cancer community, celebrating the strength of patients, recognising the dedication of healthcare teams, and continuing our mission to improve quality of life during cancer treatment.

Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) is one of the most challenging side effects associated with cancer treatment.

Often experienced as numbness, tingling, pain or cold sensitivity in the hands and feet, CIPN can have a real impact on quality of life and make everyday activities such as walking, driving, writing and getting dressed increasingly difficult.

For healthcare professionals, CIPN can create a difficult balance between maintaining treatment efficacy and limiting the progression of neuropathy. In some cases, treatment modifications may need to be considered to help prevent further nerve damage.

Despite the advances made in cancer treatment, CIPN remains a significant challenge for modern oncology care.

Keep following our LinkedIn as we take a closer look at the burden of CIPN and why addressing it remains an important focus across oncology.

reminds us that cancer treatment is about more than clinical outcomes.

The physical side effects of treatment can have a real impact on confidence and sense of identity. Supporting patients means recognising the emotional and mental challenges that can accompany cancer treatment, alongside the physical ones.

Today, and every day, we're committed to supporting those going through chemotherapy and scalp cooling.

If you're looking for support, consider joining our Facebook community, where more than 15,000 people share experiences, advice and encouragement with others navigating their own similar journey. 🫶

Waiting for hair regrowth can be one of the most challenging parts of the journey. 💙

The good news is that many patients begin to see new growth within 12-16 weeks of completing chemotherapy, with some noticing regrowth even sooner.

In this week's Haircare FAQ, we're answering one of the questions we hear most often.

🗣️ "It wasn't about vanity. It was about identity. It was about looking in the mirror and still seeing me."

When Crista was diagnosed with breast cancer, she knew cancer would change many parts of her life. But through scalp cooling, she was able to hold on to something deeply personal. Her sense of self.

"Cancer takes so much from you, physically and emotionally. It can strip away the things that make you feel like yourself, the things that make you feel feminine and recognizable in your own skin. For me, being able to keep my hair was one way of holding onto that."

Thank you, Crista, for sharing your story with our community. 🫶

Great discussions start with great speakers 🗣️

At our symposium at this year's ESMO 2026 / EONS19 Congress, we're bringing together experts from oncology, nursing and clinical research to explore the latest developments in chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) prevention and management.

From the patient impact of CIPN and current clinical practice to emerging cryocompression technologies and the latest Phase 2 clinical data, this expert panel will offer valuable perspectives on one of the most significant unmet needs in cancer care.
