46 and STILL jumping!
Strong bones and powerful muscles don’t happen by accident.
Plyometrics aren’t just box jumps. They’re about IMPACT, EXPLOSIVENESS & POWER.
Jumping. Hopping. Bounding. Explosively pushing off the ground and landing with control.
Why does this matter after 40?
🦴 Women can lose up to 20% of their bone density in the first 5–7 years after menopause as estrogen declines.
⚡ We don’t just lose muscle as we age. We lose POWER, too.
Plyometrics train your fast-twitch muscle fibers and nervous system to produce force QUICKLY, while impact stimulates bone remodeling.
That means stronger bones, better coordination, and the ability to react quickly, whether you’re climbing stairs, playing sports, or catching yourself from a fall.
And you don’t need crazy box jumps or hour-long workouts!
⏱️ Start with 10 minutes, 3x a week. Add a short plyometric circuit to your strength routine while you’re fresh enough to move explosively and land safely.
Start low. Master the landing. THEN add the bounce. 💪
If you have osteoporosis or elevated fracture risk, get individualized guidance from your Dr. before jumping.
The goal isn’t to jump higher. It’s to stay strong, powerful, and capable for decades to come.
💬 Are you still jumping, or have you been hesitant to start?
