We’re excited to introduce TCA CROSS (Chemical Reconstruction of Skin Scars) at Chrysolite Aesthetics, a highly targeted treatment designed especially for deep, pitted acne scars. 💚

What is TCA CROSS?
Unlike a traditional chemical peel that is applied over the entire face, TCA CROSS uses a high concentration of trichloroacetic acid (TCA) placed precisely inside individual scars. This creates a controlled chemical injury within the scar, stimulating healing, new collagen formation, and dermal remodeling. Over a series of treatments, the goal is for the base of the scar to gradually become shallower and less noticeable.

🎯 Who is it best for?
TCA CROSS is especially effective for:
* Ice-pick acne scars ⭐ — one of the hardest scar types to treat
* Deep, narrow boxcar scars
* Selected other atrophic/depressed scars

How many treatments will I need?
TCA CROSS is not a one-and-done treatment. Collagen remodeling takes time, and improvement is gradual.

What should I expect afterward?
Immediately after application, the treated scar typically develops a temporary white “frost.” Over the following days, the tiny treated areas may become red or darker and form small crusts/scabs while healing. Do not pick them! Protecting the skin from the sun and following your post-care instructions are extremely important.
Potential side effects include redness, discomfort, temporary darkening or lightening of the skin, prolonged pigment changes, infection, and—in uncommon cases—worsening or widening of a scar.
