Welcome to Week 4 of Talia’s ACL rehab journey!

This week, we continued to focus on getting her knee bending, and also on getting her quad functioning normally. We do this by emphasizing strengthening through every day movements, such as step ups and revolutions on the bike.

Comment any questions you might have about the rehab process, and if you or someone you know is starting their own rehab journey, click the link in our bio and send them our way!

Ever wondered what that metal scraper actually does? This is Graston technique, and it’s a common recovery tool which is used to bring blood flow to an area of the body.

In this video, Lori answers common questions about what Graston technique is, how it works, and when she would use it as a recovery method.

Graston is one of many recovery methods we utilize here at Prime. If you’re interested in booking a recovery session, click the link in our bio! 🔗

We are SO proud of our good friend and patient, Lauren, who is a blood cancer SURVIVOR!!!

At the age of 33, Lauren was diagnosed with T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a fast-growing, aggressive type of blood and bone marrow cancer. After years of rehab and treatment, we are beyond grateful that she is now cancer free!

Lauren recently gave a FANTASTIC speech at Blood Cancer United’s Light The Night event! Give it a listen!

So happy for you and your family, Lauren! ❤️

Patient Spotlight: Avery was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, and underwent brain surgery at the beginning of June.

This is our second update on Avery. Two months ago, Avery was just getting back into dance. Now, she’s progressed to tumbling, which is the final step in her recovery journey.

We’re SO proud of you, Avery! 🤍

Dancers don’t get an off-season. Between classes, rehearsals, and performances, there’s rarely a built-in break to cross-train.

Dancing doesn’t build strength on its own. It takes targeted training to support the demands dance puts on the body.

That’s why we LOVE teaming up with to bring strength training directly into their routine, helping dancers build the resilience that dance itself doesn’t!

Jack has been putting in the work heading into his first year at St. John Fisher Men’s Lacrosse 😤

This summer, Jack worked with us to recover from a groin strain. For lacrosse players, a groin strain hinders explosive movement, rotation, and change of direction, and also mitigates strength in hip generated movements such as shooting.

Throughout Jack’s rehab, we focused on:
🥍 Deep core strength and control
🥍 Hip strength and stability
🥍 Improved hip and pelvic mobility
🥍 Progressive loading of the groin and adductors
🥍 Rotational strength and control
🥍 Reconnecting the kinetic chain from the lower body through the pelvis and core

Our focus was on restoring function, improving movement quality, and preparing him for the next level without rushing the process.

Now he is heading into college with a stronger foundation, greater confidence, and a body better prepared for the demands of the game.

All the best this season, Jack! 🥍
