5 things I want you to know about thyroid health. 🦋

1. Your thyroid doesn't work by itself.

It's one part of a much bigger picture.

2. A symptom doesn't automatically equal a thyroid problem.

Fatigue, weight changes, digestive issues, and other symptoms can have many possible contributors.

3. There isn't one universal “thyroid diet.”

What works for one person may not be appropriate for another.

4. The bigger picture matters.

Digestion, blood sugar regulation, stress, sleep, nutrition, and lifestyle can all be worth considering.

5. You don't have to change everything at once.

Sometimes the most useful place to start is simply observing your patterns and understanding where you are now.

Then you can make thoughtful changes and see how your body responds.

That's a very different approach from constantly jumping from one diet to the next.

If you're tired of guessing, send me a message. Let's talk about your individual picture. 💛

You don't have to know exactly what's wrong before you ask for help. ❤️

Sometimes all you know is:

“I don't feel like myself.”
“My eating feels all over the place.”
“I've tried so many things, and I still feel stuck.”
“I don't even know where to start.”

And that's okay.

You don't need to come to a nutrition consultation with a list of answers, a perfect food journal, or a clear explanation of what you think you need.

That's part of what the process is for.

We can start with where you are now, talk through your goals and experiences, look at your current patterns, and begin figuring out what may be worth exploring.
You don't have to have it all figured out before you reach out.
You just have to be willing to start the conversation.
If you've been putting off getting support because you don't know exactly what you need, let's talk.

Send me a message or schedule a consultation. 💛

Your future self is being shaped by what you do today. ❤️

It’s easy to think, “I’ll focus on my health later.”

But the small choices you make today can become the habits and routines that support you for years to come.

And no, that doesn’t mean you need to completely overhaul your life.

It could be as simple as:
🥗 Adding more nutrient-dense foods to your meals
💪 Making strength and movement part of your routine
😴 Prioritizing better sleep
💧 Staying hydrated
🧘‍♀️ Finding ways to manage stress
👀 Paying attention to patterns in how you feel

You don't have to do everything perfectly.

You don't even have to change everything at once.

Start with one thing that feels realistic for you, and build from there.

Because taking care of your health isn't about chasing perfection. It's about creating habits that support the life you want to live.

What is one habit your future self would thank you for starting today? 💬

Carbs have gotten a pretty bad reputation over the years.

And when you hear enough conflicting nutrition advice, it's easy to start thinking:
“Maybe I should just stop eating carbs.”

But carbohydrates are much broader than the foods that tend to get blamed for everything.

Fruit, potatoes, oats, beans, vegetables, and grains can all contribute carbohydrates to your diet.

That doesn't mean every carbohydrate-containing food is the same—or that everyone needs the same amount.

It means we can move away from “carbs are good” vs. “carbs are bad” and start looking at the bigger picture.

Your nutrition deserves more nuance than a list of foods you're supposed to fear.

Have you ever tried cutting carbs because you were told they were the problem?

Counting macros gets talked about like it's either the answer to everything or something you should never do.

I think there's more nuance to it than that.

Tracking can sometimes be useful simply because it gives you information about your current eating pattern.

You may learn something about your protein intake, carbohydrate intake, fat intake, portions, meal patterns, or overall consistency that you hadn't realized before.

But that doesn't automatically mean you need to track forever.

Sometimes information is simply a starting point.

The question isn't always “How do I hit my numbers?”

Sometimes it's:

“What can I learn from this?”

That's a much more individualized way of looking at nutrition.

I wish more people knew that nutrition coaching isn't about being handed a list of foods and being told what to do.

It's a process. ❤️

When you work with me, I don't expect you to have everything figured out before we start.

We begin by looking at you—your goals, your current habits, your food patterns, your lifestyle, your experiences, and what you've already tried.

From there, we can start making changes that are appropriate for your situation.

And then we pay attention.

What feels manageable?
What doesn't?
What are you noticing?
What patterns are starting to become clearer?
What might need to be adjusted?

Because sometimes the first approach isn't the final approach—and that's okay.

Nutrition coaching isn't about doing everything perfectly.

It's about learning, implementing, observing, adjusting, and gaining a better understanding of what works for you.

And ultimately, my goal isn't for you to need me to make every nutrition decision for you.

It's to help you become more confident making those decisions for yourself.

If you've been trying to figure out nutrition on your own and feel like you could use some individualized guidance, I'd love to talk with you.

Send me a message or schedule a consultation to get started. ❤️

Building a balanced meal doesn't have to be complicated. 🥦🍗🥑🍚

If you've ever stood in your kitchen wondering, “What am I even supposed to put on my plate?” you're not alone.

A simple place to start is by thinking about your meal as a blueprint rather than trying to follow a specific recipe or meal plan.

Think:

🥦 Vegetables
🍗 Protein
🥑 Healthy fat
🍚 Whole-food carbohydrates

From there, you can mix and match foods you enjoy and that fit into your lifestyle.

And remember—this is a starting point, not a set of rules.

Your nutrition needs to be individualized. Your portions, food choices, preferences, goals, schedule, and experiences all matter.

You don't need every meal to be “perfect.” You just need a framework that helps you make choices with a little more confidence.

Save this for the next time you need a little inspiration for your plate! ❤️

What is your favorite go-to combination of protein + vegetables + carbs? 👇🏼

Your nutrition plan doesn’t have to work on your most motivated Monday.

It has to work on a random Tuesday. 😅

You know the kind of Tuesday I mean…

You slept through your alarm.
Work ran late.
You didn’t get to the grocery store.
You’re tired.
You have errands to run.
Dinner needs to happen quickly.
And the meal you carefully planned for today? Yeah… that’s probably not happening. 😂

Real life is unpredictable.

And if your nutrition approach only works when everything goes according to plan, it may be worth taking a closer look at the plan.

I don't want to help you create a “perfect” routine that falls apart the first time life gets busy.

I want to help you find strategies that make sense for your actual life—including the busy days, the unexpected days, and the days when you simply don't have the energy to do everything perfectly.

Because consistency doesn't mean doing everything perfectly.

It means having an approach you can come back to, adjust, and continue working with.

Your nutrition should support your life—not require your life to revolve around your nutrition. ❤️

What tends to make eating well harder for you on a normal Tuesday?

Have you ever gotten frustrated with your nutrition and decided to change… EVERYTHING? 😅

New meal plan.
New supplements.
Cut out certain foods.
Start exercising more.
Drink more water.
Meal prep every Sunday.
And suddenly you're trying to keep up with 10 new habits at once.

Then a few weeks later, you're exhausted, frustrated, and wondering what actually made a difference.

One thing I encourage my clients to consider is this:

You don't always need to change more. You may need to slow down and pay attention.

When you make several changes at the same time, it can be difficult to know what's actually working for you.

Instead, making thoughtful changes, giving yourself time to observe, and paying attention to your experience can give you much more useful information.

That's part of the process I use with clients:

Assess → Personalize → Implement → Observe → Adjust → Empower

Because nutrition isn't about constantly starting over.

It's about learning more about yourself and making adjustments along the way.

If you've ever felt like you're constantly trying something new but never quite figuring out what actually works for you, you're definitely not alone. ❤️

What’s one nutrition change you've tried that you weren't sure actually made a difference?

There are a LOT of nutrition rules out there.

And honestly? There are quite a few things you probably won’t hear me say as your nutrition practitioner. 👇🏼

❌ “Everyone needs to stop eating ____.”

❌ “This one food is the reason you’re feeling this way.”

❌ “Just follow this exact meal plan.”

❌ “You need to be perfect.”

❌ “If you just have enough willpower, you can do it.”

❌ “This one change will fix everything.”

Because nutrition isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Before making recommendations, I want to understand *you*.

Your goals.
Your current habits.
Your lifestyle.
Your food patterns.
Your experiences.
What you've already tried.
And what you're actually willing and able to change.

Sometimes the answer isn't another rule to follow.

Sometimes it's taking a step back, looking at the bigger picture, and figuring out what may actually make sense for **you**.

That's the kind of nutrition support I believe in—less confusion, more understanding, and a plan you can actually participate in.

What's one nutrition “rule” you've heard that left you more confused than confident? 👇🏼
