Self alliance, but make it erotic 🌹 When we overs*xualize eros, the experience of personal authority can often get too dry, rigid, and singular. Behaviors of compliance or defiance around eros keep women from the warmth of their own flame. Brilliance, capacity, and depth somehow feel management rather than flow, replenishment, connection, and being turned on, grounded, clear, and alive in the fire of one’s own life force.

Let’s talk about it.
I’m being interviewed by Kristi Sullivan of Kripalu on Monday, Oct 19th at 1pm on IG Live. See event link for diving into unlocking eros to get reminders and join.

Excited for this conversation and for being at Kripalu Nov 11-13 where I’ll be facilitating an in-person immersive into this work 🌹

Hill I’ll die on as a depth psychologist devoted the bodysoul sovereignty of women, on their own terms: The evolution of your aliveness is embodied, alchemical, and erotic — as is the path there.

Join me for Unlocking Eros, an in-person immersive journey through the four phases of Jungian embodied alchemy. This work is dynamic, multidimensional, and will move you— heart, body, mind, and spirit into greater erotic aliveness.

Unlocking Eros is happening Nov 11-13 at Kripalu in the gorgeous Berkshires 🍁🌹✨

Kristi Sullivan of Kripalu will be interviewing about this retreat Monday, Oct 19 at 1pm ET on IG Live. We’ll dive into Eros and I’ll be sharing a simple and potent practice with you.

The erotic draws us into felt participation. Pleasure acquaints us with our capacity for fulfillment, and desire brings us close to what matters enough to move us. Audre Lorde understood this deeply: the fulfillment we feel teaches us what nourishes us. As we come to trust that knowledge, it begins to shape how we work, create, love, gather, and live. Feeling acquires consequence. It begins to influence what we give ourselves to and what we are willing to accept.

Becoming intimate with that knowledge takes care. Desire can arrive entangled with shame, or with an old understanding of what is permissible for us. We need room to discover what we are feeling and how we want to respond.

At Unlocking Eros, we make that room together.

Embodying the four phases of Jungian alchemy holds the movement of our inquiry.

Nigredo, the darkening, allows familiar explanations to loosen so that the complexity of our experience can enter. Through the reflection of albedo, we begin to distinguish what has been entangled and perceive what is emerging. Citrinitas brings warmth to the discovery as we explore it through the body; rubedo turns us toward integration, giving a changed inner relationship expression in how we live.

This is the liberation of aliveness into conscious relationship. We cultivate the capacity to recognize desire, discern its meaning, and give it a place in our lives. Energy that has been bound within a conflict can begin to move toward creative participation.

I would love to welcome you into this work—to spend these days together giving attention to what is stirring, with room for discovery and time to gather what it means for you.

Join me Live in conversation with Kristi Sullivan of Kripalu Monday, October 19th as we delve more into the immersive experience of Unlocking Eros. Stay through till the end for a live practice with me ✨

“It’s just your hormones.” How often has that sentence ended a conversation that needed to begin?

A woman speaks about anger, exhaustion, pain, a change in desire. Her cycle becomes the explanation, and the life she’s living falls out of view: her relationships, the demands placed on her, her grief, her longing.

Her body has been accounted for. Has she been heard?

As I prepare to teach tomorrow, I’m also sitting with the reporting surrounding the Cornell 7, s*xual violence, female rage, and institutional failure. I’ll speak more about this separately. Here, I want to hold a question it brings urgently forward: whose account of a woman’s embodied experience is allowed to carry authority?

In fifteen years of practice and my doctoral research into menstrual panic, I’ve listened to the ideological fantasies that crowd around the female body. Stories of malfunction, motherhood, purity, sacred femininity. Even promises of empowerment can prescribe who a woman should become before she has room to discover herself.

Try this: recall a menstrual or s*xual experience someone else explained for you—or one you habitually explain to yourself.

Whose language does the explanation use? What does it allow you to feel? What becomes difficult to acknowledge?

Return to the experience. Notice a sensation, an image, a feeling, a memory. Give it room before deciding what it means.

What comes into view when the familiar explanation loosens?

Agency includes participating in the meaning we make of our own embodied lives.

Tomorrow, join me for Part 1 of Listening for Soul in Symptoms of Menstrual-Sexual Experience, hosted by The Healing Group Institute.

We’ll explore menstrual bias, the figures and fantasies shaping our responses to the cyclical body, and bodysoul awareness through a depth psychological lens.

For practitioners bringing this inquiry to clients, and women seeking a fuller relationship with their own menstrual-s*xual experience.

Reclaiming the erotic from the impacts of patriarchy is not only personal; it is liberational. It restores embodied sovereignty and reconnects us with the deeper intelligence of the body-soul.

Over the course of this workshop, we move through the four phases of Jungian alchemy using the 4D Wheel framework developed by s*x therapist Gina Ogden, working across the dimensions of body, emotion, mind, spirit, and center.

You will encounter both shadow material and unexpected insight. Old narratives begin to loosen. Inner figures that once held the work of coping and protection come into view, while new archetypal energies lead the way toward fuller erotic expression and aliveness.

Knowing begins to land not only as insight but as embodied truth felt in the body itself. We will gather the wisdom of the journey and return to the center of the wheel, where a felt resolve emerges and new movement becomes possible. Held within a sacred sisterhood container, the work unfolds in a field of shared courage, recognition, and support.

Come as you are, leave with turned on and unshakable embodied direction 🌹

UNLOCKING EROS is happening Kripalu November 11th-13th. Join me, Dr. Roxanne Partridge, arts-based depth psychologist and 4D Wheel practitioner 🌙

In Part 1, we will explore Menstrual Imagination, the cultural complex of menstrual panic, and the depth-psychological foundations of bodysoul awareness. We will look at how menstrual images become fixed beneath cultural explanations and how we can restore enough psychological space for an image or symptom to reveal its own life.

In Part 2, we will bring this orientation into practice through case material involving PMDD, amenorrhea, PCOS (now PMOS), infertility, traumatic birth, and identity beyond womanhood.

We will work with the 4-D Wheel of Sexual Experience to follow each story through its physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. The Wheel gives us a way to listen to the whole field of an experience: where the story begins, where it becomes stuck, which dimensions have been given authority, and which parts of the person are waiting to enter the conversation.

For practitioners, the class offers a framework for meeting menstrual and reproductive material with greater curiosity, confidence, and psychological depth.

For women drawn to the class through their own experience, it offers language and practices for recognizing the menstrual body as part of an unfolding inner life—one that may contain conflict, grief, memory, desire, image, and unexpected forms of knowing.

You are welcome to come from either doorway, or from the place where the personal and professional meet.

Each class can be taken on its own, though I encourage you to attend both. Part 2 builds upon the depth-psychological foundation established in Part 1, allowing us to move from the central ideas into case material and embodied practice with the 4-D Wheel.

Each summer and winter season I slip into a pause and enter a time of rest, dreaming, connection, and some container of personal transformation. A part of my ethics as a practitioner is that I walk my talk, and that my liberation is tied to the women I serve. This Summer Pause will in part be spent alongside the women participating in Wild Dare at Omega Institute For Holistic Studies moving through 5 days of in-depth, mythic, bodysoul initiation. I can’t wait to arrive this evening and open the field for us tomorrow morning. A season change is afoot on a soul level and I surrender to the forces that wish to reshape me.

This autumn, you can join me:
🌹Online for a 2-part class on ✨Listening for Soul in Symptoms of Menstrual-Sexual Experience: A Depth Psychological Approach to Practicing Bodysoul Awareness🩸
🌹In person Kripalu for ✨Unlocking Eros✨to connect to your current aliveness through an immersive process through the 4-D Wheel and embodied Jungian Alchemy.

I named this workshop Wild Dare because I have seen how much courage it takes for a woman to let her own heart change her.

To let grief show her what has truly ended.

To let anger reveal which part of her has been waiting to be heard.

To let desire become more than a private ache she manages around the life she already has.

To let love grow beyond the forms in which she first learned to give and receive it.

The heart is wild in this way. It refuses the neat forward motion we have been taught to call progress. It moves like water—circling, flooding, receding, returning. Carrying us back to places we believed we had already worked through because we are meeting them now as another woman, at another turn of the spiral.

Each return asks for a deeper encounter with what still lives there. A desire. Another truth. Another piece of ourselves waiting to be brought back into the life we are making.

Wild Dare creates a place for that encounter.

For five days at Omega Institute For Holistic Studies, we will enter the myth of Inanna’s descent and work within the great round of ending, surrender, transformation, and return. Through depth psychology, ritual, the 4-D Wheel, movement, and creative practice, we will give form to what your heart is carrying—and discover what becomes possible when it is allowed to move.
