Something new in the office this week.

This is a FibroScan. It measures liver fat and stiffness — no needles, no prep, a few minutes lying on the exam table with a probe on your side.

Why the liver? It’s a quiet organ. Fatty liver has become genuinely common, including in people who feel fine and whose regular bloodwork comes back normal. A FibroScan gives an actual measurement instead of a guess, and a number you can compare year to year.
