--Office-based clinic, and who treats you--

Same procedure. No hospital. And the same two doctors every single time.

That’s Dr. Silas Williams and Dr. Travis Brown — board-certified interventional radiologists who own this practice. Not a rotating team, not whoever is on the schedule.

Most of what we do could be done in a hospital. We do it in an office-based lab in Independence instead, and the difference shows up in ways patients notice. You park outside the door, not in a garage. There’s no admissions desk, no wristband, no waiting on transport. The procedure is same-day and you go home that afternoon.

Behind the scenes it matters more. We handle insurance authorizations in-house rather than sending your referring office paperwork. We order the imaging you need. Your referring physician gets a report after every procedure, without being buried in notes for every visit.

We treat uterine fibroids, enlarged prostate, knee arthritis, hemorrhoids and spinal compression fractures.

Told a hysterectomy is the only answer for your fibroids? For most women, it isn’t.

Heavy bleeding, pelvic pressure, and the fatigue that comes with both — most women live with fibroid symptoms for years before anyone lays out all the options.

Uterine fibroid embolization treats fibroids without surgery. A catheter is guided into the uterine arteries and the blood supply feeding the fibroids is cut off, so they shrink over the following months. The uterus stays. There’s no incision, no general anesthesia, and most women are back to normal activity within days.

We take a deliberately conservative approach to the procedure itself. The target is to completely shut down the vascularity feeding the fibroids while preserving sluggish forward flow in the main uterine artery — rather than embolizing that artery to complete stasis. The fibroids lose their blood supply. The uterus keeps its own.

It isn’t right for everyone, and we’ll tell you if surgery suits your situation better. But fibroids are benign. There’s no clock running, and that means there’s time to ask what else exists before agreeing to an operation.

A spinal compression fracture is most treatable in the first 12 weeks. Most people are never told that.

If you or a parent has been told to wait out a fracture in the spine with rest and pain medication, the timing matters more than it usually gets explained.

Kyphoplasty stabilizes the fractured bone through a needle, under X-ray guidance — no incision, no hospital stay, home the same day. The North American Spine Society gives vertebral augmentation its highest recommendation grade for improving pain and function in these fractures.

The window matters because Medicare coverage, and the clinical evidence behind it, is built around fractures under twelve weeks old with imaging showing the fracture is still active. A fracture that healed months ago is both less likely to respond and less likely to be covered.

If back pain started suddenly after a fall, a lift, or even a hard cough, it's worth having looked at sooner rather than later.

Meet Michelle. When an insurance company says no, she's the reason that isn't the end of it.

This is one of the least visible parts of the practice and one of the most important. Michelle verifies every patient's benefits before anything gets scheduled, so nobody finds out what they owe after the procedure is already done. She handles prior authorizations in-house rather than sending paperwork back to your referring doctor's office.

And when a plan declines coverage, she works the case directly with the insurer — submitting the imaging, the scores, and the documented record of treatments already tried that didn't work. A denial on "medical necessity" grounds is very often a request for exactly that material.

We won't tell you it always works. Some plans have made a decision about a procedure rather than about your case, and no amount of documentation changes that. But the attempt gets made every time, and you are not the one making the phone calls.

Up three times a night to use the bathroom? That isn't simply aging, and surgery isn't the only thing that fixes it.

Most men put off doing anything about an enlarged prostate for the same reason: what they've heard about TURP. The hospital stay, the catheter, and the effect on sexual function that nobody wants to bring up.

Prostate artery embolization works differently. Nothing passes through the urethra. A catheter is guided through the blood vessels to the arteries feeding the prostate, and the blood supply is reduced so the gland shrinks over the following weeks. It's done under light sedation, as an outpatient procedure. You go home the same day.

In 2026 the American Urological Association updated its BPH guidance to include PAE for prostates of 50 cc or larger, and advised that it be performed by an interventional radiologist — which is what we are.

If medication stopped working, or the side effects aren't worth it, it's worth a conversation.
