And that’s a wrap! 🎉

Just over two weeks ago, RIANAC hosted a wonderful Education Day, “Meeting the Moment: Advancing HIV Care, Sexual Health, and Harm Reduction in Today’s Healthcare Landscape.” It was a fantastic day of learning, with excellent presenters, timely topics, engaging dialogue, and opportunities to connect with colleagues from across RI and the region.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success! We’re especially grateful to Rhode Island College Zvart Onanian School of Nursing for partnering with us, including Dean Justin DiLibero, and Professors Joanne Costello and Linda Mendonca, and the RIC faculty and staff who supported the event.

Thank you as well to our outstanding presenters for sharing their time and expertise, our dedicated RIANAC Board members, and our generous industry sponsors at ViiV Healthcare, Gilead Sciences, and Merck for their continued support.

And, of course, thank you to everyone who attended! Your participation, thoughtful questions, and enthusiasm made the day truly special.

I think I was year #2. Time flies.

The first ACRN examination was administered in October 1996 at the ANAC conference in Chicago. Nearly 200 candidates successfully passed the exam and were credentialed as ACRNs!

We have lost an amazing friend and advocate who will be deeply missed by the many, many people whose lives he touched for the better. Rest in Peace Andrew.

RIANAC was excited to participate in the RI AIDS run/walk on Saturday, May 2nd. Overcast skies and the occasional drizzle couldn’t dampen the spirit of the runner/walkers! It was wonderful to see new friends and old while highlighting such an important cause. Thank you to our RIANAC members and supporters along with the runners/walkers, organizers and vendors!
