It’s HAPPENING! After a few years of having to adjust our schedule, we are FINALLY back to being open 7 days a week! New hours go into effect starting in February.
We are looking forward to being more available to help all of you with your piercing needs 🖤
Appointments are always preferred and get first priority, walk-ins will be taken as we are available. Call us at 319-594-1965 or send us a DM to book your next piercing or to purchase something new and fun for an existing one!

We are looking to add a new experienced piercer to our team here at Release Body Modification in the busy university town of Iowa City, Iowa!
We hope to find someone available for full time but are open to part time positions too for the right candidate!
Release has been in the same location for over a decade and we are extremely well established within our community.

The studio meets/exceeds the APP minimum standards/criteria, and we are looking for someone who follows those same guidelines.
We do our initial piercings with sterile gloves & titanium & gold jewelry. Our stock is ever growing with demand. We only carry the best!(Anatometal, BVLA, Neometal, Maya, LeRoi, Industrial Strength, Buddha, etc to name a few of our heavy suppliers)
We currently have 2 procedure rooms
Statim autoclave(s) and a Hydrim!
We’re absolutely open to your piercing style and willing to supply whatever is needed to accommodate you.
We have tapers, tools, and tubes, but also stock transfer pins and needle blanks, etc if you’d prefer to be disposable!
We’re a legit, tax paying studio, and you would come on as an employee, with a few different options for payment structure, to be discussed at the time of hire, and selected by you.
We’d appreciate you guesting at the studio first, so we can ensure that it’s a good fit for everyone, before long term employment.

We are hiring! The time has come and we are needing to add to our amazing team here at Release! We are looking to fill a front of house position. Job details include but are not limited to, client interactions, such as greeting, helping clients pick out jewelry/fill out release forms, answering the phone, cleaning duties, and other small organizational tasks.
We are looking for someone who has a background in customer service and likes to work face to face with clients. Our front of house staff is the first interaction our wonderful clients have with us, so someone who is friendly, outgoing and can work in a fast pace environment is a major plus!
We are seeking someone(possibly two someone’s!) for part time, with the possibility for a more full time position in the future. Afternoon/Evening and weekend availability is a must!

**WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN AN APPRENTICESHIP. This position will strictly be someone for the front of house.**

Now that the governor has issued a State of Health Public Disaster for the State of Iowa, we at Release Body Piercing have made the decision to close our doors, after today. Though we pride ourselves on cleanliness at all times, not just during this pandemic, and have not yet been forced to so, when it comes down to it, we are a non-essential business, and because of that, we feel it is in the best interest of our clients and our employees to cease all business, until at least the end of the month.
