Utsumi America The finest selection of Japanese shears. The B.W. Boyd Shears Company began approximately 35 years ago with B.W. Boyd and his wife Ritsuko. In 1998, B.W. dba B.W.

Their goal was to provide the very best Japanese cutting tools at an affordable price. Boyd sold his company to a Japanese company and friend for over 20 Years, Utsumi Co, Ltd., in Japan. After acquisition of the company, Utsumi Co, Ltd., established Utsumi America Inc. Boyd Shears in Irvine, California. As the president of Utsumi America Inc., Christy Hagino continues to follow the philosophy of B.W. Boyd Shears by offering high quality Japanese shears at the very best price. Utsumi America Inc. has been actively marketing and selling top quality Japanese shears in the US market for over 10 years.
