Let’s talk about knee replacement surgery.
Another Jiffy knee success story. Jacalyn had a traditional knee replacement on one knee and a Jiffy knee on the other. She shares her experience with us. We are proud to see the progress she’s made in a short time! Congratulations!
One of our patients Charles came in for physical therapy two days after having his knee replaced with the Jiffy knee procedure. Just one of the many patients that are doing exceptionally well!! Schedule your appointment for a jiffy today!

I am a Nurse Practitioner at Michigan Joint Replacement Institute, working in Adult Joint Reconstructive Surgery. I completed my undergraduate education at Central Michigan University (2009) and received a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Sports Medicine and Health Fitness. While working as an athletic trainer for 6 years, I obtained a Master's degree in Health Care Administration from Bellevue University (2012) and an Associate's degree in Nursing from Jackson College (2015). As a provider at MJRI, I work both in the clinic and as a surgical first assistant in the operating room. Areas of interest are joint replacement, sports medicine, and injection therapy. Then, working together, I like to work as a team to come up with a care plan best suited for your needs. We will discuss options ranging from conservative non-surgical treatment interventions all the way through surgery, if appropriate or necessary. My time as an Athletic Trainer on the sideline, Registered Nurse in the emergency department, and now my role as a Nurse Practitioner, have all helped me gain knowledge and experience for acute and chronic conditions.
I have been a practicing physician assistant for the past 12 years. I completed both my undergraduate and graduate studies at Wayne State University obtaining a BA in Psychology and a Masters of Science Physician Assistant. Since joining orthopedics I have worked in both the operating room and clinic. I love what I do and consider myself fortunate to be a part of our patients journey to wellness. I believe our job is to try and help our patients obtain their goals and get back the life that their knee and hip pain has kept them from. When not working you will find me with my wife, 2 daughters, and yellow lab most likely at a sporting event or in a park. I love spending my time outdoors traveling to National Parks, beekeeping, or doing renovation projects.
