๐Your Mammogram Was Abnormal| Now What?
๐ โMY MAMMOGRAM CAME BACK ABNORMAL.โ NOW WHAT?
First: an abnormal finding does not automatically mean breast cancer.
It means something needs a closer look.
Depending on the finding, the next step may include additional mammogram images, ultrasound, MRI, or a biopsy.
And this is important:

If cancer is found, the tissue provides even more information, such as where the cancer began, its grade, and important biomarkers that help guide treatment.
So don't let fear stop you from completing your follow-up.
An abnormal result isn't the end of the story.
It's information telling your healthcare team what needs to happen next.
