Love Decorating? Help KANDU Make the Holidays Magical! 🎄

We’re looking for creative individuals who love decorating, designing, crafting, or dreaming up something completely unique to help bring KANDU’s Festive Forest Extravaganza event to life!

Volunteers will decorate a Christmas tree for our holiday celebration. You bring the ideas, and we provide the pre-lit tree and decorating budget! Whether you're a florist, artist, designer, seasoned decorator, or simply someone who loves getting creative, this is your chance to let your imagination take the lead and create something truly one of a kind.

Your finished tree will be featured in KANDU’s lobby throughout the holiday season, bringing joy to our clients and adding a special touch to the community celebration during Milton Merry Weekend!

Tree decorating will take place in KANDU's front lobby November 16-20. Simply let us know which day works best for you, and we'll have your pre-lit tree set up and ready for your creative touch.

Interested in creating a little holiday magic? Contact Kristen Wells at [email protected] to get involved.

One tree. Endless creative possibilities. We can't wait to see what you create! 💚

KANDU's Got Talent! 🎤

A little music, a lot of smiles, and plenty of reasons to sing along! One of the things our clients look forward to each month is all programs karaoke. Clients from across KANDU’s programs come together for an afternoon filled with singing, dancing, and cheering on their peers. Everyone gets a chance to enjoy the music, share their talents, and have fun together!

And the fun doesn't stop when the singing ends! Each karaoke afternoon wraps up with a dance party where everyone can get up, move, and enjoy the music together.

We love seeing clients build confidence, express themselves, and strengthen connections with others through these special moments. Stay tuned for more KANDU Karaoke next month!

A Sweet Way to Learn and Create!

Things got a little sweeter in KANDU's ISP program. Our clients had fun getting creative as they decorated freshly baked cookies with colorful frosting and sprinkles.

While cookie decorating is a tasty activity, it's also a great opportunity to build important skills. From strengthening fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to practicing decision-making, creativity, and self-expression, each cookie provides a chance to learn, grow, and have fun.

At KANDU, we love finding ways to turn everyday activities into meaningful learning experiences. And when those experiences include frosting and sprinkles, that's just the icing on the cookie!

Our Halloween Fun Day was full of smiles, laughter, and plenty of spooky fun! It was a great day for all of our programs to come together, celebrate the season, and enjoy time with one another. From a special performance by Elvis to our Trunk or Treat festivities, there was no shortage of Halloween excitement! Our clients enjoyed showing off their costumes, participating in activities, collecting treats, and making memories with friends.
