❤️🏐 Harper was our Norton Children’s Superhero of the WKU Volleyball game!

Now 11, Harper is a sixth grader in Scottsville, Kentucky, with a love for volleyball.

Shortly after birth, Harper was diagnosed with tetralogy of Fallot, a complex heart condition. At just 5 months old, she underwent open-heart surgery at Norton Children’s Heart Institute. Today, she’s thriving on and off the court! 💪

Harper has been playing volleyball since kindergarten, participates in clinics with Bravo Volleyball Club and hopes to join a travel team. She also visits Norton Children’s cardiologist Dr. Wright in Bowling Green for annual checkups.

Our tiniest trick-or-treaters are celebrating their very first Halloween at Norton Women's & Children's Hospital, and we can’t handle the cuteness! 🎃👻🧡

Over the weekend, our incredible Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital NICU nurses volunteered their time to create these boo-tiful memories for our tiniest patients and their families to treasure for years to come. We’re so grateful for the compassion and extra love our NICU team pours into these special moments and the care they provide every day.

Every year, stuffed animals and Valentine’s Day cards bring extra love to our patients on Feb. 14. This year, we’re switching things up and asking YOU to help name our newest stuffed-animal crew! 🧸💕

Terri McLemore, pharmacy-controlled substance coordinator at Norton Children’s Hospital, has spent 40 years growing through change while staying grounded in the work and people she enjoys.

She began in 1986 in the pharmacy IV room at Methodist Evangelical Hospital and made the transition when the hospital became part of Norton Healthcare. That next chapter eventually brought her to the Norton Children’s Hospital pharmacy team, where she served as the Pyxis coordinator before becoming controlled substance coordinator in 2021.

Terri has seen plenty of change along the way, including her team’s recent move into a new pharmacy on the second floor of Norton Children’s Hospital. Through each transition, she has continued to find satisfaction in the work and in the colleagues beside her.

Thank you, Terri, for 40 years of dedication to our pharmacy teams and the patients who depend on them.

🍂 A little fall magic is blooming at Norton Children’s Hospital! 🎃

The Healing Garden has received a seasonal refresh with colorful mums and festive pumpkins, creating a cozy fall retreat where patients and families can take a breath, find a moment of peace and enjoy the beauty of the season.

A heartfelt thank-you to the volunteers from Turner Construction Company for bringing this labor of love to life, and to the Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation for donating the fall décor. Your generosity helps make the Healing Garden a special place for the children and families we serve!
