The 5th Annual Big Health Event brought 1,827 people together to take charge of their health, and we are so grateful to everyone who showed up at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Together, we provided:

💙 541 biometric health screenings
💙 153 adult and pediatric vision screenings
💙 78 kidney health risk screenings
💙 65 ABI/PAD cardiology screenings
💙 44 prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screenings

Beyond screenings, attendees had access to health education, resources and connections to care throughout the day.

Thank you to everyone who came out, asked questions, got screened and took an active role in their health. And thank you to the Urban League of Louisiana for leading the way, and to our 308 Ochsner team members across 30 departments who volunteered their time and expertise to make this event possible.

Taking that first step toward better health is not always easy. We are proud to stand beside our community every step of the way.

Walk alongside colleagues, patients and neighbors in support of the 37 million Americans living with kidney disease. Gather support from friends, family and coworkers to raise awareness and donations to help fund kidney research, education and patient programs.

Join Ochsner Health for a drive-thru flu event on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Ochsner Medical Center - West Bank Campus (2500 Belle Chasse Hwy., Gretna, LA, 70056).

Flu shots will be available for children 6 months and older.
