If you’re on a renal diet, your waiter is your secret weapon. 🤫

When you eat at a sit-down restaurant, you have the power to customize your meal and skip the hidden sodium and phosphorus additives. But walking in without a plan can lead to accidental mineral overload.

Use the "Ask the Chef" Checklist 🧑‍🍳
When sitting down, ask your server these three exact phrases:
1. "Can I have my protein grilled with absolutely NO added salt?"
2. "Could you please put all sauces, gravies, and dressings on the side?"
3. "Are the meats pre-marinated, or are they seasoned fresh in-house?"

Disclaimer: always consult your renal dietitian for specific guidance tailored to your lab values and fluid limits.
