🎉We are so excited to welcome Dr. Ellie to Revive! 🎉

While she is new to us, she is not new to pelvic health and we are feeling so grateful that she has joined our team!

Dr. Ellie is a physical therapist and has a passion for treating and educating women and men on pelvic floor conditions. She enjoys helping people increase their quality of life and get lasting results.

When she is not in the office, you can find her spending time with her partner, Hank, and their two cats. She loves to visit a new coffee shop, go for runs, lift weights, and watch reality TV.

Please help us welcome Dr. Ellie and say hello when you are in the office!! 👋

We are here to walk alongside of you. Reach out today to set up an initial evaluation or follow the link in bio to fill out a contact form and we will call you. 515-207-0342.

A very unpopular opinion…

Our bodies are amazing and adapt on their own!

In all honesty, we have been treating diastasis recti to help reduce the gap. We are still committed to addressing the abdominals and pressure management. But we are also committed to follow the most updated research, and that is, that the separation isn’t functionally a problem.

We do recognize that it can affect the way we think about our appearance or how our bodies feel and that has a real impact.

We are dedicated to helping in this journey and strengthening your core and pelvic floor as a unit.

Ps don’t fall for the social media 6 week core programs to close your “gap”!

Somehow one whole year has gone by and we are celebrating this happy, sweet little lady turning One💕

Birthdays are always good milestones to look back and reflect on the past year.

My heart and my body couldn’t have needed this year more. This little lady has brought more healing than I ever knew was necessary.

This has been the year I grieved my experiences of my first two births and actually accepted my own c-section. Learning to let go, trust my body and my care team again allowed so much mental and emotional freedom.

Having a 3rd kid made me slow down and be more present where my feet are. It woke me up a bit on how much I was consumed in other people’s things or events happening in the world around me.

Pure Joy—watching all 3 of my kids grow this year and especially watching my older two absolutely adore our babe has been nothing but pure joy. The joy that comes from the little things and every day experiences.

The first year can feel really daunting as you are sleep deprived, completely carrying for a dependent human, trying to heal your body, and face the demands of life. This is the first time I have felt that I truly gave myself a year (plus more to come) of grace to heal physically, mentally, and emotionally after the birth of child.

Pregnancy and child birth changes you. Allow yourself the time, space, and grace to heal, rest, and build the renewed version of yourself💕

Are you experiencing constipation or difficulty relaxing on the toilet to be able to go? Try these 2 things to get poopin 💩

🚽 Squatty potty in every bathroom, every time you go to the bathroom. It doesn’t have to be the squatty potty but anything to get your feet up so your knees are above your hips. A step stool, a trash can on its side, a suitcase while you’re traveling, a stack of old text books. Anything! This helps the pelvic floor muscles relax and open a bit more to allow for the 💩 to come through the re**um more easily.

💨 Breathing into back side/a**l opening. Bringing breath and relaxation down into the pelvic cavity targeted at the back side can help relax the tension in the muscles around the a**l opening. With repetition of this, it builds the mind-body connection to prepare those muscles to relax more especially when it is time to 💩
