We can’t protect our kids from ever feeling stressed, anxious, angry, overwhelmed, or disappointed.
But we can give them tools for what to do when those feelings show up.
Breathwork helps kids begin to understand the connection between what they’re feeling emotionally and what’s happening inside their bodies. They can learn to recognize when their nervous system is getting overwhelmed—and, more importantly, discover simple ways to help themselves regulate.
That might look like using their breath to settle before a test, calm down after an argument, release some frustration, transition after a busy day, or wind down before bed.
And one of our favorite parts? When kids learn these tools alongside their grown-ups, regulation becomes something you can practice together.
Instead of simply telling a child to “calm down,” you can breathe with them.
That’s what Big & Little Breathwork is all about—helping kids understand their bodies, giving them tools they can actually use, and creating an opportunity for the two of you to connect while you learn.
Because big feelings are going to happen.
Let’s give our littles some tools for handling them.
