💜 A LITTLE COLD, A LOT OF HEART! 💜🚶♀️🧠
The Kettering Heights Post Acute team showed up and showed OUT at the 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Delco Park! 💜
Let’s be honest… it was a CHILLY morning! 🥶 We had red noses, numb fingers, and a few people questioning their life choices as they climbed out of a warm bed on a Saturday morning to walk a mile-ish in the cold. 😂☕ Some of us needed coffee, some needed extra layers, and some probably needed a formal written apology from whoever invented early morning outdoor activities! 🤣
But guess what? WE SHOWED UP! 💜
And we showed up for a reason that goes far beyond the walk.
For some of us, Alzheimer’s has taken someone we love. For others, we have family members or friends currently living with this disease. And for all of us at Kettering Heights, we walked in support of the residents we are so fortunate to care for every day. 💜
Every step was a reminder that behind every diagnosis is a person, a family, a lifetime of memories, and a story that deserves to be remembered. Our residents are more than their diagnoses, and they deserve compassion, dignity, love, and support every single day.
So, while our fingers may have been frozen and our noses may have resembled Rudolph’s, our hearts were full. ❤️
We may not be able to end Alzheimer’s with one walk, but we can show up, raise awareness, support one another, and keep fighting for a future without this devastating disease.
A HUGE thank-you to everyone who came out, walked alongside us, and supported this important cause! We are proud of our Kettering Heights team for showing up with cold toes, warm hearts, and a whole lot of love. 🥰💜
Until next year… we’re requesting warmer weather, complimentary coffee, and a personal heated sidewalk. Is that too much to ask? 😂☕🌞
