DR. MICHAEL S. BERK

Dr. Michael Berk was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He is a second generation optometrist. Dr. Michael Berk graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1983 with a Doctor of Optometry degree along with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science. He graduated with honors and is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor fraternity. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. After practicing optometry in Ohio for 42 years he moved to Key West, FL and joined the Oppenheimer Eye Clinic in January of 2026.
Dr. Berk enjoys his work and being able to help his patients with their eye health and visual needs. He is committed to staying at the forefront of technology, striving for excellence, and delivering superior care to the patients of the Oppenheimer Eye Clinic.
Dr. Berk is the father to four children and two grandchildren. His oldest son, Joseph, is a supervisor in the department of public safety at OSU hospital, His daughter, Audre’, manages an audiology practice. His son, Sam works in management and marketing in
fine dining restaurants. And his youngest son, Max, is a practicing optometrist in Ohio. Dr. Berk loves living in Key West, boating, fishing, golfing, and listening the excellent live music in the Keys.

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Front Desk Associate to join our optometry practice. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position with opportunities to grow and earn bonuses.

✨ Responsibilities Include:
• Answering incoming phone calls
• Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
• Verifying vision and medical insurance
• Collecting copays and processing payments
• Adjusting and dispensing eyeglasses

• Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends)
