Had cupping done over 3 days ago and I’m still wearing the pepperonis! 🍕

Do you do cupping? Does it work for you? It’s included with my massage, but I’m still on the fence about it.

If you’re living with rheumatoid arthritis or another chronic illness, you know that sometimes it takes every ounce of energy just to survive the day.

Some days, we’re not chasing goals, checking off to-do lists, or trying to be productive… We are simply trying to get through the day with whatever energy our bodies are willing to give us.

And sometimes, all we want to do is crawl into bed, close our eyes, and hope that tomorrow will be a little kinder. Hoping to wake up with less pain, a little more energy, and a body that feels just a little more like our own.

We go to sleep hoping for a better day—not because we’re giving up, but because we’re holding on to the possibility that things might feel easier tomorrow.

You are allowed to have days when surviving is enough. You are still worthy, you are still strong, and you are still doing your best—even when your best looks like getting through the day and going to bed early.

Here’s to hoping tomorrow brings a little less pain, a little more energy, and a reason to smile. Until then, take it one day at a time. You’re not alone. ❤️

🩺 One thing I love about being a nurse practitioner is that there is ALWAYS something new to learn!

Today, I spent some time brushing up on my orthopedic knowledge. From special tests to common injuries, it’s a great reminder that learning doesn’t stop once you earn your degree or get those letters after your name! Fitzgerald Health Ed Assoc

I genuinely love continuing to grow, keeping my knowledge current, and finding ways to provide the best care possible for my patients. ❤️

Being a healthcare provider means being a lifelong learner, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Living with chronic illness has taught me that sometimes I have to listen to my body… and sometimes I choose to do the thing anyway. ❤️
Sometimes it feels worth it to me and I love having the power to choose.

Everyone really is fighting a battle that you likely know nothing about.
Similar to having an invisible illness, there is so much we can’t see about others and so much they can’t see about us.

Living with rheumatoid arthritis means I’m always looking for small ways to support my health without making life more complicated. 💚

One thing that helps me stay on track with the Mediterranean diet? Small swaps instead of big changes!

🥣 Swap sugary cereal for Greek yogurt with berries and nuts.
🫒 Use olive oil instead of butter when cooking.
🐟 Choose fish more often instead of red or processed meat.
🥜 Grab a handful of nuts instead of chips for a snack.
🌾 Choose whole grains instead of refined grains when you can.
🍓 Add more fruits and vegetables to your everyday meals.

The Mediterranean diet emphasizes whole foods, healthy fats, fiber, and foods that may help support overall health and reduce inflammation.

And remember, you don’t have to change everything overnight! Small, consistent choices can add up over time. ❤️

When you’re living with RA, taking care of yourself doesn’t have to mean being perfect. It’s about finding realistic ways to nourish your body that work for YOUR life!

What’s one small food swap that works for you? 👇
