Pecora Day Hab hosted the ultimate Fall Festival, and we couldn’t have asked for a brighter, sunnier, or more perfect day! From start to finish, the energy was high and the smiles were endless. ☀️✨

We are bursting with pride to share the phenomenal impact made by our Northern Region Day Hab programs in 2025!
🌟 4,746.75 TOTAL VOLUNTEER HOURS! 🌟

Our incredible individuals and dedicated staff from Cairo, Catskill, and Northern DH spent the year pouring their hearts and time back into our community. A massive portion of these hours went toward volunteering with Meals-on-Wheels, ensuring our neighbors received vital meals and a friendly smile! 🤝🍱

Advocacy works. Last year, our community showed up and made its voice heard. We secured a 2.7% Targeted Inflationary Increase (TII), and the average Direct Support Professional (DSP) starting wage rose 2.6%, bringing it to $19.03.

Investments help provide more consistent care, keep experienced staff on the job, and strengthen services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

🛠️ Celebrating Years of Service: Roland Welch
A huge congratulations to Roland Welch, our Head Custodial Maintenance Worker at Drewville! Roland has been a valued member of The Arc Mid-Hudson maintenance team for more than six years, dedicating his time and talents to support our Administration, Clinic, and Day Habilitation. Roland is always willing to lend a hand, takes immense pride in his work, and brings a positive attitude and kindness that makes him an absolute joy to work with. Thank you, Roland, for everything you do!

🚓 Heroic Actions & The NADSP Code of Ethics: The Renaissance Team
We want to give a massive shoutout to Victoria DeMercurio, Amanda O’Brien, and Joanna Grabiarz from Renaissance DH. On September 22nd, Megan O’Connor (Deputy Commissioner of OPWDD's Division of Quality Improvement) visited to personally acknowledge them for their commitment to the NADSP Code of Ethics. On a hot summer day, these alert staff members noticed an individual from another agency trapped alone in a van with the windows closed. They immediately called 911 and helped him get to safety before his own staff even realized he was missing. We are deeply proud of your quick thinking and life-saving support!
