FOOD 4 LIFE FOOD 4 LIFE is a family owned 100 % Grass Fed, Beyond Organic, custom Meat Producer in Southern Oregon. Home of the Criticaly Endangered Java Chicken.

We take pride in the dominion God gave us over the Land and the Critters placed in our care. We are John and Teresa Penhall. Together with our 4 children we started Penhall Farms about 20 years ago We weren't much for milking but started raising baby calves on an old Milk Cow. Our herd has now become 70 + and none of our Livestock have ever been vaccinated or given antibiotics. They are pastured here from the womb to the tomb. We take pride in quality herdsman ship and the welfare of our stock. I ( Teresa ) teach monthly classes on farm wife things like, Cheddar Cheese Making, or churning butter, kefir, Sour Cream, Chicken plucking 101, Lacto-Fermented Vegetables, Bread making, Cow Milking, Most anything you want to know about self-sustaining we can teach you. *Quarter steer 158 lbs. HANGING WEIGHT @ $6.50 lb. = $1111.25
* Weights and costs are estimates and will very per animal.
You are paying for the HANGING WEIGHT. Jake from Merle’s Custom Butchering
(541) 798-5425 will come to our Farm, Kill and Process your Custom Ordered Beef. YOU can purchase the one whole, or a half/ even split it with a friend to get ¼.
TO SIMPLIFY THE PROCESS!!!! IM NOW INCLUDING Harvest fee, Custom cut and wrap fee, and a few extras.

Remember these are Certified 100 % Grass Fed, You want all the bones, all the organ meat, all the fat, ask them to cut the bones into sizes for your crock pot and have them package them in 3-5 lb. bags.

I'm not to good at the page. Can We bring meal, Clothes,Toys,water towels soap toothpaste and stuff for people who are displaced. We have stuff but don't know what to do with it? 541-281-8821. Pasture,hay, bucket's ECT too feed but again minimal knowledge?

If you know me Teresa, you know that I have a passion for critically endangered Java, chickens. I have been bringing them back from the brink of Extinction for probably 15 years. When I started raising Javas they considered the white Java's extinct. I actually had some hatch over the years and had a small flock of white ones. They have since aged out and 2 weeks ago the neighbor Fox got a hold of my last white Java and killed it. Much to my surprise, my just hatched nine chicks had two white ones. My hen who just hatched nine chicks had two white ones. To say that I weld up with joy and cried is an understatement. Now the question is do I intervene and take the chicks and make sure nothing happens to them or do I let them live with their mom.? And you know me, I'm going to leave them with their mom. The things that they learn from her will serve them well. The things that they would learn from me could be their demise. Join me in celebrating these two white Javas
