🌟The fourth trimester 🌟

Well what does this have to do with breastfeeding anyway? Well let me enlighten you!

The first twelve weeks postpartum are considered your fourth trimester! During this time your body is changing, healing from birth and learning how to care for a baby!

You baby doesn't truly know they are no longer a part of you within this time period. Interacting with your baby and responding to their needs help promote a healthy brain and nervous system development!

Ok,ok so what's most important?
Keeping your baby close. Skin to skin, friends!
Nourishing your body as much as possible!
Support! Lean into your loved ones, friends and professionals as much as needed!
Rest, rest, rest! Your body will tell you when you're doing too much, you just have to listen to it 🩷
