Some dogs take off running. Others need a moment before they get going. 🐾

Every dog has their own personality, energy level, and individual needs. And these can change depending on their age, stage of life, or how they’re feeling that day.

At EQUUSIR, we take this individuality into account in our work as well. Whether during training, in everyday life, or during recovery, what works well for one dog may not be right for another.

That’s why it’s important to us to consider each animal individually and respond to their specific needs.

Truly understanding a horse means looking beyond its daily training. 💫

For many years, Canadian dressage rider James “Jamey” Irwin has been exploring how to support his horses individually and respond to their physical needs. As part of this approach, he has gained experience with different EQUUSIR systems.

For Canadian dressage rider James “Jamey” Irwin and his horse Flirtfaktor, using the BIOS Blanket has long been a familiar part of daily life.

After an intensive training session, recovery and rest may be the priority. On other days, the focus might be on preparing a horse for the work ahead or allowing it to enjoy a quiet moment.

Sometimes you can tell right away when a dog is stressed. Sometimes you can’t. 🐕

Moments of tension often show up in small cues: flattened ears, a fixed gaze, a posture that leans forward. If you’re mindful of these cues, you can better respond to your dog.

These cues are also a good opportunity to consciously take a break. The BIOS dog blanket can become a constant companion in your daily life – for those moments when your dog simply needs to relax.
