Alaska consistently ranks among the highest in the nation for school-based and electronic bullying. According to the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS) and national school reports, over 25% of Alaska high school students reported being bullied on school property, frequently placing Alaska at or near the highest rate in the country.

Maniilaq BHS will be visiting schools in the Northwest Arctic Borough and Point Hope to deliver an Anti-Bullying presentation to staff and students with the primary focus on students. The presentation is focused on identifying what Bullying is and how youth can prevent and S.T.O.P. bullying effectively and appropriately.
