The right time to explore your care options is before a stressful health situation comes up.

The emergency department and urgent care provide critical, often lifesaving care. However, in cases of non-emergency health issues, a trip to the ER can be expensive and inconvenient.

CareMore Health patients have other options for trusted care.

Schedule an in-person or telehealth appointment with your primary care provider if you need:
đź’š Routine care or vaccinations
đź’š Chronic disease care
đź’š Treatment for a common cold or flu
đź’š A referral to a specialist

Call our 24/7 Nurse HelpLine to:
đź’š Ask urgent health question
đź’š Get advice about new or worsening symptoms
đź’š Request medication refills
đź’š Find out where to get care

If you have any doubt that your symptoms are an emergency, please visit your local emergency department or dial 9-1-1.

Review your care options before you need them. Regardless of where your health takes you, we’re here to help. https://www.caremore.com/current-patients/

As life gets busy, it’s tempting to reschedule or postpone routine health screenings, especially if you feel healthy. National Mammography Day is an important reminder to make and keep your next mammogram appointment.

Mammograms are a highly effective tool for spotting breast cancer early. The procedure is relatively quick and is usually performed right at a clinic or your doctor’s office.

Ask your provider about your breast cancer risk and follow their guidance for how often you should get screened.

A few minutes with your medicine cabinet can help you stay organized, informed, and safe.

It’s important to keep track of the medications you have in your home. Even vitamins and supplements may become harmful if they are used incorrectly or have expired.

We recommend going through your prescriptions and over-the-counter products at least once per month.

When you do, check for:
✔️ Dosage instructions that are clear and easy to follow
✔️ Expired medications that need to be safely discarded
✔️ Labels that warn you not to mix medications

With an updated medicine cabinet, you can feel confident that your medicines are safe to use when you need them.

As we age, everyday activities that once felt simple, like bathing, can become a challenge. It is common for older adults to change their bathing routines or even start bathing less often. There are several reasons this can happen, which your doctor can help address.

CareMore Health’s regional medical officer, Dr. Heather R. Swanson, recently discussed bathing as we age with Nifty 50 Plus. “If bathing feels unsafe, addressing it early can help prevent falls, injuries, and hospitalizations.”

If you find yourself bathing less often because it feels difficult or dangerous, bring it up at your next appointment.

The full article shares tips on bathing safely and more from Dr. Swanson on when to see your doctor:
